Arrive at Osaka airport and transfer by limousine bus. Hotel accommodation, no meals provided. For the limousine bus service you will need to present the voucher which will be delivered together with the travel documents before departure.
From Shin Osaka reach the Subway Namba station (local train not included in the JR pass). From Namba Subway exit the station and walk to the Namba Nankay station (8 minutes walk). From Namba Nankay reach by train Gokurakubashi station (local train not included in the JR pass - travel time about 90 minutes). From Gokurakubashi station take the cable car to Koyasan (Mount Koya) (cable car not included in the JR pass - travel time 5 minutes).
Upon arrival at Mount Koya it is necessary to take a bus that brings you close to the area where there are the facilities - travel time 10 minutes (service to be purchased on site) or a taxi. Total travel time to reach Mount Koya: approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Koyasan is considered one of the holiest places in Japan and one of the largest monastic centers of the country. Accommodation in a double hotel room in Japanese style, half-board.
From Mount Koya take the funicular up to Gokurakubashi station (cable not included in the JR pass - travel time 5 minutes). From Gokurakubashi local train station reach the Nankay Namba station (local train not included in the JR pass - travel time about 90 minutes). From Nankai Namba Station walk to Namba Subway Station (8 minutes walk). From Namba Subway you will be able to use the JR Pass for other destinations. Total travel time to reach Kyoto: about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Arrival in Kyoto and accommodation in a standard hotel room, no meals provided. The hotel is located in the heart of the historic district of Gion, with the majority of temples and traditional streets of the ancient imperial capital just minutes away. The train station is 15-20 minutes by bus. Stop opposite the hotel.
These two days will be spent visiting Kyoto and its main tourist attractions.
Transfer to Osaka and sightseeing of the main attractions, for example the famous castle. Accommodation in hotel in a double room, no meals provided.
Domestic flight from Osaka to Hakodate (It is recommended to show up at least three hours before the flight departure at the airport). Arrival in the early afternoon, pick up of the rental car at the airport. Hotel accomodation. Afternoon dedicated to the visit of the beautiful city and its memories of the colonial era. Hotel accommodation in a double room, no meals provided.
(Hakodate / Noboribetsu 210 km). Departure for Noboribetsu through two spectacular national parks: the park of Lake Onuma and the park of Lake Toya, with volcanoes that are reflected in the water. Possibility of cruises and ascents by cable car. Arrival at the end of the day in Noboribetsu. Hotel accommodation in a double room with half board.
(Noboribetsu / Sapporo 105 km). In the morning, after having 'tested' the most famous onsen in Japan and visited the Valley of Hell, proceed to Sapporo. It will be possible to stop on the way at Ainu culture museum, Orofure pass and Lake Shikotsu. Hotel accommodation, based on double occupancy, no meals provided.
(Sapporo / Sounkyo 240 km). In the morning enjoy a short visit to the capital of Hokkaido, then depart for the island's northwest side. It will be possible to stop in the rural areas of Furano and Biei, then enter the area of the natural park of Asahidake, the highest volcano on the island (cable car ride and then continue on foot). At the end of the day, accommodation in a ryokan in Sounkyo, in a double room with half board.
(Sounkyo / Kawayuonsen 240 km) . After a relaxing stop at the onsen of the hotel, set off to discover the natural park of Daisetsusan (cable car ride and then continue on foot). Proceed north west, toward Kawayu. Transfer to the hotel, in a double room in Japanese style, half-board.
(Kawayuonsen / Akankohan 240 km). In the morning, after a stop at the hotel onsen, you can explore three beautiful lakes: Mashuko (perhaps the most beautiful and scenic), Kussharo (with the opportunity to go hiking) and Akanko (where you can take a beautiful cruise). Hotel accommodation and visit of the town, which has preserved the atmosphere and traditions of the Ainu culture. Half board.
(Akankohan / Kushiro 120km). In the morning departure to Kushiro, through the natural park of Shitsugen, in whose spectacular lagoons cranes nestle. Car delivery at Kushiro airport. End of the tour.
