You'll depart from lively Berlin, the capital city of the country, full of monuments, theatres and art galleries. Of course, you won't miss a visit to the famous Brandenburg Gate, recognized as a symbol for both the city and the country. Then, you'll reach the most suggestive, fabulous, and romantic cities, among which are:
Of course, this complete itinerary also gives you the chance to taste and be delighted by typical dishes in traditional pubs and restaurants.
Transfer from Berlin airport to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure to get a first glimpse of the capital city of Germany. Berlin is the artistic center of the country boasting several museums, art galleries and theaters.
During the morning we'll visit the main important touristic sights and renowned historic locations in Berlin. Stroll along Under den Linden avenue and admire the State Opera, the Brandenburg Gate and also the modern part of the city, with its famous Parliament and Potsdam Square.
Afternoon is free to explore at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast we will move to Potsdam. This enchanting city is set on a natural island, surrounded by tributaries and channels of the Havel River. Upon arrival, we'll visit the Sanssouci palace and park, which boasts more than 300 hectares. This lovely park is characterized by many and many species of plants and trees. In the afternoon we'll get on board a high-speed train and travel from Berlin to Frankfurt. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and dinner with the rest of the group. Overnight at the hotel.
Transfer from Frankfurt to Heidelberg in the morning. We'll visit the well-known castle ascending the hill with the cable car and enjoy a sightseeing tour of its historic city center. Heidelberg is Germany’s oldest university town and one of the most popular destinations in the country, furthermore it is located on the amazing shore of the Neckar River providing stunning glimpses. At the end of the visit, we go on reaching the lush Black Forest region. During the night we can enjoy an unique experience: typical Black Forest dinner and overnight in a romantically located hotel, near the the beautiful Ravenna Gorge and the region’s oldest chapel. After dinner it is possible to enjoy a short walk to admire both of them.
After breakfast we'll take part in a short presentation on the cuckoo clock production. Then, we'll continue to a small typical Black Forest farm where we can enjoy a cheese tasting and discover the true life of the Black Forest. At the end, we'll proceed to Lake Titisee, nestled in the legendary Black Forest, and thereafter to the small island of Lindau in Lake Constance, which boasts breath-taking views of the Alps. Depending on weather conditions, we will take the Alpine road from Lindau to Oberstaufen and Immenstadt to today's final destination: Füssen.
The day starts with the visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Ludwig II, the notorious “Mad King“. At midday we travel to Oberammergau, renowned for its Passion Play and lovely crafts. En route we'll visit the Wieskirche Church before continuing the tour to visit Linderhof Castle, built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one of its 3 castles where the king lived for a significant amount of time. After a short break at the Ettal Benedictine Abbey, we'll reach Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It's the winter sports capital of the country and site of the 1936 winter Olympics. This mountainous region also boasts Germany’s highest peak: Zugspitze (2.962 m). Overnight at the hotel.
Today we'll reach Munich. During the travel we'll stop in Innsbruck, Austria, to enjoy a sightseeing tour, or if you prefer, it is possible to take part in an alternative excursion to ascend to the top of Zugspitze (not included). Upon arrival in Munich, check-in to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast we'll discover the main tourist attractions of the city, ending the tour at the Marienplatz square with its famous clock tower. The capital of Bavaria state, Munich, is famous for its Oktoberfest, which is annually celebrated in September. The afternoon is free to explore the city according to your personal style or go shopping. Traditional Bavarian dinner in the evening and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast we'll move to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the oldest and most suggestive cities in Germany. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a sightseeing tour of this lovely medieval town concluding with a Schneeballen (snowball) tasting, a pastry considered the proper dish of Rothenburg. At the end, we'll travel to Frankfurt airport: end of services. (Arrival time in Frankfurt: around 6 p.m.).
