You will admire the Uzbek heritage and the historic cities in Tajikistan through the high passes of the Pamir Mountains

The tour also allows you to discover the Tajik Culture, which is the heir of the ancient Iranian-speaking Central Asian cultures. The heritage of this community is now shared between the two countries, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.     Arrival in Tashkent
    Day 1

    Arrival in Tashkent in the morning, after being welcomed, transfer to the hotel, where you can enjoy your breakfast.

    Then, you'll continue with a city tour. Tashkent was once an important trading center, at the crossroads of caravan routes connecting Europe and India. During the itinerary you can explore and admire the Perspective of Independence, the Navoi theater, all Khazret Imam complex, located in the old city, the mausoleum Kaffal Chachi and the Kukeldash Madrasah.

    After lunch visit the Museum of Decorative Arts.

    Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

    Day 2

    After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Urgench.

    Upon arrival in Urgench, you will move for 35 km to reach Khiva. Check-in at the hotel.

    Afterwards, you will enjoy a city tour during which you will discover Ichan-Kala architectural complex (12 - 19th c.), the Residence of the last Khan including Ismail Khodja Mausoleum, Mohammed Amin Khan madrassah, Kunya-Ark Castle (16 - 17th c.), Kalta Minor tower, Tash-Hovli Palace (19th c.), Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum (14 - 18th c.), Juma Mosque (10th c.).

    Dinner and overnight in Khiva.

    Day 3

    After breakfast, departure to Bukhara

    During the transfer you can enjoy the wilderness Kizyl Kum (Red Sands).

    The arrival in Bukhara is scheduled at the evening, upon arrival, transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

    After breakfast you will discover Bukhara with a city tour on foot.

    Starting from the Poyi Kalon, one of the most beautiful places in the city, you are going to visit the mosque and minaret of Kalon or "Pedestal of the Most High", decorated with magnificent facades. Then, visit the Mir Arab madrasah, madrasah of Ulugbek (15th century) madrasah Abdulazizkhan (17th century). The itinerary continues with the visit to all Liabi Hauz, the merchant houses, the mosque Magoki Attori to Labi Hauz, an amazing pool with trees surrounded by a group of majestic buildings.

    Day 5

    Today you will continue the tour of Bukhara.

    Discovering Samanids mausoleum, also known as the "Pearl of the Orient" (9 - 10th century), mausoleum Chashma Ayub with its famous well, meaning "the source of the prophet Job". Then, you will visit the Bolo Hauz mosque and the citadel Ark, followed by the Sitorai Mokhi Khossa, secondary residence of the last Emirs of Bukhara.

    Lunch in city. The tour ends with the visit to Chor minor madrasa.

    Day 6

    After breakfast, departure to Samarkand route.

    You will stop in Gijduvan to visit the Ulugbek Madrasa (15th century) and the most famous of the ceramist workshops. Then, explore Sardoba (reservoir of water) and the ruins of Malik Karavanserai (12th century). 

    Upon arrival in Samarkand, accommodation at the hotel and lunch.

    Then, you will start your tour in Samarkand. This city has retained the glazed domes, the brightly colored walls and mausoleums are all gems of Central Asian architecture. Discovery of Gour Emir tomb of Tamerlane.

    Samarkand Tour
    Day 7

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    You are in the true "threshold of paradise" for artists and dreamers, Samarkand has retained its glazed domes, its brillant colored walls and mausoleums are all gems of Central Asian architecture.

    Today you will visit the famous Registan Square, the Bibi Khanum Mosque and market with the atmosphere that surrounds it. Then, you will explore the Necropolis Shahi Zinda.

    After a delicious lunch in the city, the tour continues visiting the museum of Ulugbek and his observatory ruins, and finally, the museum "Afrasiab".

    Day 8

    The morning is dedicated to the visit of the architectural complex of Khodja Akhrâr, Nadir Divan Begi, the mausoleums of 'Abd-i Darun and Ishrat Khana, mosque Khazret Khizr (19th century).

    Free time during the afternoon, before departing to Tashkent (300 km-2h 10 min) by a comfortable fast train.

    Tashkent - Fergana
    Day 9

    Today you will move to Kokand by Kamchik mountain pass, 2250 m. Kokand was the center of the Kokand Khanate, founded in the 18th century by Cheibanids khans dynasty.

    You will visit the palace of the last khan of Kokand, Khoudayorkhan, which dates back to the late 19th century, the madrasa Norboutabey 17th century, the Jomi mosque, the biggest in the city, dates back to the 19th century.

    The travel continues to Margilan via Rishtan where it is possible to visit the potters' workshops, famous in the whole country.

    Arrival in the evening. Dinner in city and overnight at hotel in Fergana.

    Day 10

    The morning is dedicated to the visit of the factory "Yodgorlik" where silks are woven in the traditional way. Here it is possible to learn all stages of the development process of silk from cocoon to fabric film, spread over several buildings.

    After lunch, an excursion to Andijan starts. During the visit it is possible to discover the archaeological site of Khuva, where a large statue of Buddha was found. Then continue the road to Andijan. Visit the Juma Mosque, the bazaar and the park Babur.

    Return to Marghilan. Dinner and overnight hotel in Marguilan.

    Marguilan - Khujand
    Day 11

    The tour will bring you to Khujand today, crossing the Uzbek / Tajik border called Andarkhan / Patar. In Tajikistan, you will change your vehicle and road to Khujand. Tajikistan visa is required.

    In the afternoon, arrival to Khujand and transfer to hotel.

    Khujand is the second largest city and the northern capital of Tajikistan. It is supposed to be the Alexandria Eschate founded by Alexander the Great in the IV century BC and over the centuries it was conquered by the Arabs and Genghis Khan and claimed by khanates of Bukhara and Kokand. Traversed by the Sir Darya, the city alone concentrates all the urban areas of the country, a wide main street, buildings dating back to the Stalinist period, the ruins of a citadel (forbidden access) and various old monuments.

    First of all, upon arrival, you have to stroll through the bazaar characterized by Soviet architecture but nicely decorated, giving life and color to this day. Then, you will discover the main attractions of the city. Starting from the complex of Sheikh Muslihiddin: a mausoleum, minaret, a madrasah and a mosque up this religious place where new photos are not always welcome (women must wear a scarf and everyone must take off their shoes). All newly opened museums are open for visits, while one of the last statues of Lenin erected in Central Asia still remain a real curiosity.

    Khujand - Artuch
    Day 12

    Today you will move to Ura Tepe, former Istaravshan. It is an old town of more than 2700 years, where its downtown offers the ancient bazaar and the Cyropol of Alexander the Great, Shahr-e-Kukna, a street with several fairly well preserved monuments fairly well preserved.

    Here it is possible to discover the Madrasa of Sultan Abdulatif (called Kok Gumbaz, or blue dome) dating back to the 15th century with decorations reminiscent of madrasahs in Bukhara. You'll see nice villages clinging to the mountain along the road that leads to Shrakristan, from which it is possible to enjoy an amazing view of the surrounding mountains.

    In the evening arrival in Artuch, located at 2.200m above sea level. Accommodation in the former base camp for mountaineers. Each house has four bedrooms, with two beds, sheets and blankets. The toilets are outside and are common to the entire camp.

    Artuch - Pendjikent
    Day 13

    The morning is dedicated to a walk to the lake Tchoukurak, visiting the village.

    At the end, transfer to  Pendjikent. It is an ancient city, today proud of its small museum, in which halls some interesting examples from all periods of occupancy and paying tribute to Rudaki, the great poet of the Samanid court are shown.

    A worthing visit spot is the bazaar of the city, which still offers a nice moment of life as well as the interesting archeological site of Bunjikath which shows most of the ancient city, particularly prosperous in the 5th century. The excavations revealed the foundations of temples and palaces, as well as places of worship that demonstrate the incredible ecumenism : Hinduism, Buddhism or Zoroastrianism lived without difficulty.

    Pendjikent - Dushanbe
    Day 14

    The morning is dedicated to the discovery the city, which hosts an amazing bazaar, the Museum of History, the ethnography, Ismoil Samani Mausoleum, Rudaki Park and gardens. If time permits, you will also enjoy a trip to Hissar Fortress, the capital of the former province of Bukhara. Here it is possible to admire its two madrassas.

    Arrive in Dushanbe and overnight in the hotel.

    Day 15

    Today you will reach Kurgan Tube, where it is possible to admire the Hissar fortress, belonging to the 19th century, the history museum, archaeological excavations Adjinoteppo in which a statue of Buddha was found.

    Departure to Iskanderkul, on the way visit to the Nurek water reservoir.

    Iskanderkul is an amazing lake in Tajikistan, upon arrival it is possible to walk around the lake and waterfalls.

    In the morning, departure to Khujand.

    Along the way, stop and explore the Istaravshan Mougtepe fortress (10th century), medersas Khazrati Shoh and Khoudoeri Valami. You will pass the Shakhriston mountain pass (3,372 m altitude), the border to arrive in Uzbekistan. Then, transfer to Tashkent.

    Overnight at the hotel.
