    Chiangkhong – Houeisay - Pakbeng
    Day 1

    Arrival at Houeixay border from Chiang Khong (Thailand). After crossing the Mekong River, your Laotian tour guide will transfer you directly to the local pier. Embark on a traditional boat to Pakbeng.

    En route, stop over to visit Lao Lu at Ban Pak Tha and a H’Mong village at Ban Houei Lumpane. Lunch included on board. Arrival in Pakbeng in the late afternoon and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

    Pakbeng – Luangprabang
    Day 2

    Breakfast at hotel. Embark on a traditional boat to Luang Prabang. En route, stop over to visit the sacred Buddha caves of Tham Ting and Tham Phoume where hundreds of Buddha statues are enshrined.

    Lunch on board included. After that, continue by boat to Luang Prabang and stop to visit Muang Keo. Some of the villagers’ activities include rice wine distillation and traditional weaving. Arrival in Luang Prabang and transfer to the hotel for check in. Accommodation at the hotel.

    Luang Prabang - Khuangsi waterfall
    Day 3

    Breakfast at the hotel, then visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, displaying a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating back from the days of the early kings to the last sovereign. Stop over at Wat Xiengthong, the 16th century temple which, more than any temples in Luang Prabang, epitomizes all the elegance and grace of Luang Prabang architecture.

    Then it's on to Phousi Hill: the 328 steps leads to the summit of this hill that dominates the skyline of Luang Prabang, with the finest panoramic view in the whole Luang Prabang.

    Drive to Khung Si Waterfalls, tumbling over multi-tiered limestone formations into cool, clear pools ideals for swimming and relaxing. On the way to the waterfalls, visit the Khmu minority village of Ban Thapaene. Return to Luangprabang. Enroute visit Ban Xom, a lowland Lao village known for its cotton production, and Ban Xang Khong village to see how traditional Sa paper is made. Overnight at the hotel.

    Luang Prabang - Xiengkhuang
    Day 4

    Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Xiengkhuang, on the way stop at Sala Phoukhoun and then continue to Xiengkhuang. Arrival in Xiengkhuang, the province well-known for having been heavily bombed during Indochina war.

    Transfer to your hotel in Phonesavanh, then drive to visit the Plain of Jars, with the archaeological stone jars dating back to 2000 years ago. Overnight in Xiengkhuang.

    Xiengkhuang
    Day 5

    After breakfast, drive to Muang Kham for about 1& ½ hrs. It is a small trading town at the junction road between Northeast Laos and the Vietnam border. En route, visit villages of Tai Dam ethnic group and also a Hmong minority group. Lunch in a local restaurant at Muang Kham.

    After lunch continue by car to visit Tham Piew near Muang Kham, the historical cave which was bombed during last war that killed hundreds of people who were hiding inside it. Drive on for about 40 mn to visit  a natural hot spring in the forest, where you can have a bath. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight in Xiengkhuang.

    Xiengkhuang - Vang Vieng
    Day 6

    Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Vang Vieng. The journey is strenuous as you drive along one of the most scenic but rough routes in the whole of Asia. You'll arrive in Vang Vieng, a small town located on a bend in Nam Song River.

    This tranquil town has rapidly developed with the advent of tourists, but the beautiful scenery with a mixture of quiet water and limestone outcrops has remained unchanged over the century. The most famous of these caves you will visit, Tham Jang, was used by local people around 200 years as a hideout from Chinese invaders. Overnight in Vang Vieng.

    Vang Vieng - Vientiane
    Day 7

    In the morning you will head out of town and drive back to Vientiane. Along the way you will make a stop to visit the archaeological sight of Vang Xang dating back to the 11th century.

    Arrival in Vientiane and city tour. Vientiane is the charming and fascinating capital of Laos. It conjures up exotic atmospheres, with the curious mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French influences. You will explore the city in the afternoon with a stop over at Wat Sisaket which is the oldest temple still standing in Vientiane.

    This amazing structure features remarkable frescoes and Buddha images. The following sight is Haw Prakeo, the former royal temple of Laos monarchy, once home to the famous Emerald Buddha Statue. You will then visit the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane 's Arc de Triumph, before continuing to the famous That Luang Stupa. Overnight in Vientiane.
