Arrival and meeting with a staff representative who will assist you and take you to your hotel in San José. Overnight in San José.
 

Early morning pick-up in your hotel lobby and departure (approximately 2½ hours) to your Pacuare River lodge including a typical Costa Rican breakfast en route. Exciting 1-1½ hour river rafting tour to your lodge (class II-III rapids) where you will enjoy a two-night stay (you have the option to arrive in a 4 x 4 instead of the rafting).

In the Caribbean region of Costa Rica there is a protected zone of incomparable beauty that begins near the town of Siquirres and covers approximately 25,000 acres as it descends down the Talamanca Mountain Range. This is the area known as Pacuare, which constitutes one of the most important protected areas in the region.

You’ll wake up to the singing of birds and the soothing sound of the river nearby. Head over to the main lodge for a delicious breakfast of home-made bread, tropical fruits, yogurt, eggs, pancakes, cereal and juice and coffee.

The lodge employs a resident naturalist guide who will provide you with unique insights into the plant and animal world. You will enjoy a full day of activities: a canopy tour, a private guided hike through the rainforest, a therapeutic massage and planting your very own tree. All meals included at the lodge. Departure between 9- 10 am. In the morning you will depart by raft for an even more fun-filled day of white water rafting (approximately 3½ hours over class III-IV rapids), including a delicious picnic lunch along the river (you have the option to travel by vehicle).

At a river take-out you will have a chance to change before being transferred by private vehicle to Arenal Volcano. You will find an amazing active volcano, a beautiful lake and a great diversity of wildlife. Arenal is most impressive at night, in the dark, shooting fire and red hot rocks high into the sky. Breakfast and a full day of activities for you to enjoy. In the morning experience a horseback ride to La Fortuna Waterfalls. This is a good combination of a horseback ride and a hike. The views of the Valley of San Carlos forest are spectacular. At the end of the road you will leave the horses and you will walk along a natural trail to the base of the waterfall, a special place to relax and swim. Lunch included at the end of the tour.

In the afternoon take an adventurous hiking tour around the Arenal Volcano and afterwards have a great relaxing time at the natural hot spring waters of Tabacon with buffet dinner included. Overnight in Arenal. All meals included.

Breakfast and private transfer to Guanacaste, Costa Rica’s northwestern province, best known for its beautiful beaches and huge cattle reaches, characterized by a rich diversity of natural habitats, estuaries, dry tropical forest, marshes, rivers, music, color and traditional food.

Overnight at Punta Islita with all meals included.

Days at leisure to enjoy the beach and the hotel. Perfect time to take advantage of your massage for two (one 90 minutes massage for the couple) or the daily tour to choose from canopy, cultural tour, horseback riding and others (the massage is one time only). Breakfast and morning at leisure to rest. After lunch (included), your private transport will be waiting to take you back to San Jose. Rest of the day free to enjoy the area. Overnight in San Jose. Breakfast and lunch included.
