A three days safari, wonderful accommodations for your nights, and obviously, the itinerary also proposes some days exclusively dedicated to relax on the amazing white sandy beach of Malawi Lake.
From Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, a chaotic city dedicated to commerce and rich in shops, up to the peaceful and calm atmosphere of natural parks.
Pack your bags and hurry up to discover:
During the first night of your vacation you are going to stay at Latitude 13° in Lilongwe. It's just time to relax!
Latitude is a new contemporary and exclusive boutique hotel, it combines a bold style with instinctive personal service. The wide and comfortable rooms are elegant and individually designed, all providing Wi-Fi, large bath, rainshowers, flat screens and climate control.
The restaurant is undoubtedly one of the finest tables in the city. Award nominated Chef Richard Greenhall and Andrew O’Hallaran have created an eclectic menu that mixes Lake Malawi tastes, Asia courses and the distant Mediterranean dishes. The exceptional wine collection from South Africa complements the culinary journey.
After breakfast, you will reach Zambia and enjoy South Luangwa National Park. The park has been established in 1972 and it is worldwide renowned as a truly amazing wildlife haven.
You will spend the night in a stylish and unique lodge situated in a remote part of the National Park with abundant and uncongested game viewing on the doorstep: Lion Camp. It provides just nine canvas and thatch chalets accommodating a maximum of 18 guests.
The facility has been built on elevated wooden platforms, its accommodations are linked to each other and to the main area by a raised wooden boardwalk. Each chalet has either a four poster king-size double bed or twin beds, and a walk-in mosquito net. They are all en-suite with a shower and toilet, and have private decks overlooking the open plain in front.
After having discovered the amazing South Luangwa National Park, you will come back to Lilongwe to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere provided by Latitude 13°.
The main theme on Mumbo Island is barefoot luxury. Here, there is everything that you need and nothing that you don’t, including no electricity.
Mumbo Island is an eco-friendly, unspoilt, sub-tropical island in a remote area and a rare opportunity for a true island experience. It is an amazing tropical island floating on the waters of the Lake Malawi National Park. With a maze of massive underwater rocks, uncountable species of colourful fish and calm, crystal-clear water. The national park offers what many consider the best freshwater snorkelling and scuba diving in the world.
Guests can relax on the white sandy beach and appreciate the starry night sky. It is also possible to enjoy some other activities, as waterskiing, sailing, kayaking, walks in the hills, sunset cruises on our hand-built dhow and snorkeling and diving.
