After exploring the major tourist attractions of the capital city, San Jose, you'll discover:
Meet up at San Jose International Airport and transfer to the hotel in San Jose and overnight.
After breakfast, you'll start to explore the gaudy city of San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica. Some of the most important tourist attractions are the National Theater and the Gold or Jade Museums. In addition, while exploring the city, it is possible to learn something more about the Costa Rican culture, history and folklore. Overnight in San Jose.
In the morning, you'll move with your 4-wheel vehicle from your hotel to Arenal Volcano area, which is about 4 hours far. The volcano is considered to be the most active in the country, you will witness the awesome power of its eruptions. If you wish, you can take part in an optional excursion and experience the hot mineral springs heated by the volcano, while relaxing and discovering the lush surroundings. Here, you will spend your following two nights.
Today it's time to leave the Arenal Volcano and reach the central mountain region, eventually ascending towards the Monterverde Cloud Forest (approximately 4 hours). This reserve is home to an incredible variety of wildlife and offers great opportunities to admire many endangered species of birds, as well as the elusive Quetzal. Overnight stay in Monteverde.
After breakfast, you'll drive towards Quepos (approximately 5 hours) and the stunning Pacific coastal resort area, which borders Manuel Antonio National Park. This part of the country is characterized by some of the most amazing beaches, exotic jungles and unforgettable sceneries of Central America. You'll spend two nights in Manuel Antonio in order to admire everything it has to offer.
It's time to go back to San Jose, reachable in 3,30 hours to enjoy your last night. Overnight in San Jose.
After breakfast drive to San José International Airport, where you will leave your trusted vehicle: end of services.
