A discovery tour across Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Mexico: neighboring countries with completely different feautures. The journey begins with the natural beauty and colonial treasures of Guatemala, among its lush vegetation and the charm of the archeological areas.

The second part will be dedicated to sightseeing in Belize and Honduras, set in the heart of Latin America but with a Caribbean atmosphere, famous for the rich biodiversity of their flora and fauna. Here you can observe rare species of birds and bats, as well as crocodiles and turtles.

Finally, you'll reach the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, with its splendid archaeological ruins and the dream beaches.

Different countries, full of contrasts, but all sharing a magical atmosphere that will give you the chance to live a surprising and unique trip.

    Guatemala City - Chichicastenango - Lake Atitlan
    Day 2

    Breakfast in the hotel.

    Departure to Chichicastenango where you can visit Santo Tomas Church and the famous native market, the most famous in Guatemala. where Mayan and Spanish customs combine. On Thursdays and Sundays, market days, the small settlement becomes a real "handicraft bazaar" where you can admire and buy several types of clothes, statues made of carved wood and pottery.

    In Santo Tomas Church, situated in the main square, representatives of the neighbouring villages, assigned to the worship of different saints, meet. It is possible to see natives offering incense and pray their gods and saints in a picturesque mix of pre-hispanic and Christian rituals,

    Lunch in a restaurant.

    In the afternoon continue to Lake Atitlan, one of the most beautiful in the world, dominated by three volcanoes and inhabited by different communities belonging to different ethnic groups on its shores. Arrive in Panajachel and accommodation in a hotel.

    Visit the city, a colonial monument of the Americas. Till 1773 it was the capital of Guatemala. Among its treasures, we particularly suggest the Palace of the General Captains, the Municipality Palace, Arms Square and the Government Palace.

    Interesting are also the ruins of different churches and convents such as Merced and the Capuchin Church.

    Lunch and return to Guatemala City.

    Departure by bus to Copan in Honduras, to visit the archaeological site protected by Unesco, certainly one of the most majestic from the Mayan civilization, famous for its Baroque resemblances and its extraordinary rocks and sacred altars from the classic period,

    Departure by bus to Puerto Barrios. Along the route visit Quiriga archaeological site. Here you can admire the biggest Mayan carved rock, whose weight is about 65 tons.

    Continue by motor launch to Livingston.

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Sightseeing of the archaeological site of Tikal, considered the most spectacular Maya center. The incredible number of pyramids and stems show us as this city was the most important of the Mayan world during the eighth century. The size of this archaeological site covers an area of 576 km. You will discover the charm of the Mayan mystery walking among up to 70 meters tall pyramids. Some had already been built 200 years before the coming of Christ. In particular you have to admire the spectacular landscape of the Peten jungle, that can be seen from the top of the pyramid known as the Temple IV.

    At the end of the visit we will have lunch and then we will continue our trip to Belize.

    Breakfast in the hotel.

    In the morning departure to Tower Hill, where you will sail along the river for about 2 hours before reaching Lamanai religious center, a name which literally means "crocodile under water". During this excursion on a motor launch you will observe some rare bird and bat species, with a bit of luck you will also come across crocodiles and turtles. The archaeological site is located in the heart of the tropical forest, full of exotic fruits, overwhelmed by the perfumes of nature, whose peace is interrupted by the howls of the monkeys. This archaeological area was built between 100 and 900 AC.

    At the end of the visit in Lamanai, return to Tower Hill on a motorlaunch and continue by coach to the border between Belize and Mexico.

    After customs operations, you'll change to another means of transport, continuing by bus to the hotel.

    Free morning for relax in the nature and to admire the lush vegetation spreading out in front of the hotel.

    Then depart to Bacalar Lagoon, also known as the "Seven Color Lagoon", due to the several hues of turquoise, jade and aquamarine of its waters extending for 50 km in length.

    The tour is over, after lunch continue to the Mayan Riviera or Cancun for a seaside extension.
