Departing from Cancun, located in the Southern part of Mexico, the itinerary passes through:

  • The archaeological area of Chichen Itza, declared Unesco World Heritage Site. It hosts Mayan architectural masterworks, including El Castillo and the Temple of the Warriors;
  • The "white city": Merida studded by colonial buildings;
  • The suggestive archaeological site of Uxmal, where it is possible to admire the famous Pyramid of the Magician;
  • Campeche, where you'll embark on a short tour;
  • Villahermosa with its several haciendas, here you'll visit a cocoa factory;
  • The colourful San Cristobal de Las Casas;
  • Sumidero Canyon, where you'll take part in an excursion on its river;
  • The historical area of Palenque with its precious ruins and its renowned Temple of the Inscriptions;
  • Chicannà, close to the border with Guatemala. Here Mayan population developed a different architectural style;
  • Riviera Maya, which is your last stage. You have the chance to decide to extend your stay here and enjoy the crystal clear Caribbean Sea.

    Arrival at the international airport of Cancun, transfer to the hotel, check-in and overnight.

    Cancun - Chichen Itza - Merida
    Day 2

    After breakfast in the hotel, transfer to Chichen Itza, an important Mayan archaeological site. This village, developed in the V - X centuries, is considered the Mayan capital city of Yucatan Peninsula and shows famous ruins and temples, such as: El Castillo, the Temple of the Warriors, Great Ball Court and the Sacred Well.

    Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we'll proceed to Merida. Check-in to the hotel per overnight.

    Merida - Uxmal - Campeche
    Day 3

    Today we'll reach Uxmal to visit the archaeological area where it is possible to find the remains of the Mayan city bloomed among the III and the X centuries. Undoubtedly, the most important constructions are: the Pyramid of the Magician and the The Governor's Palace.

    After lunch in a restaurant, we proceed to Campeche, capital city of the namesake state. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a short tour of the ancient city, enclosed and fortified by towers and walls built to protect the village against pirates. It has been capable to conserve patrician houses and severe churches, typical of the colonial ages. At the end of the visit, check-in to the hotel and overnight.

    Day 4

    After breakfast, we'll move to Villahermosa, capital city of Tabasco. Lunch in a restaurant. The afternoon is dedicated to the visit of a factory in which cocoa is processed. Overnight in the hotel.

    Day 5

    Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital city of Chiapas. Then, we'll reach the pier of Chiapa de Corzo to embark on an excursion and enjoy the Canyon Sumidero. This place offers unmissable and breath-taking glimpses, which will contribute to make this experience unforgettable.

    Lunch in a local restaurant and on to San Cristobal de Las Casas. Check-in to the hotel and overnight.

    Day 6

    Breakfast in the hotel. The morning is dedicated to the visit of the local market, one of the largest of the region. Many indigenous come here every day to sell their products. The tour continues visiting the baroque church of Santo Domingo, founded in 1547. Afterwards we'll visit the local communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan. The first one is really particular and combines typical rites belonging to Christianity to pagan beliefs, while in the second one, the tendency to Catholicism is clear.

    Return to the city and lunch in a typical restaurant. Free time during the rest of the day. Overnight in the hotel.

    Day 7

    After breakfast departure to Palenque, crossing the lush and verdant forest. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and lunch.

    The afternoon is dedicated to the visit of the archaeological site of Palenque, immerse in the tropical jungle. Here it is possible to admire the Temple of the Inscriptions in which the tomb of "Pakal" has been discovered. Overnight in the hotel.

    Palenque - Chicannà
    Day 8

    Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Chicannà. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and lunch.

    The afternoon is dedicated to the visit of the archaeological sites of Xpujil and Becan. Both of them are small but surprisingly magnificent and enclose majestic masterworks of the "maya bac" architecture, typical syle of this part of the country bordering with Guatemala. Overnight in the hotel.
