Fromhectic Calcutta we will fly towards Assam, we will visit the Nameri National Park and we will enter in Ziro Valley dotted with tribes who will welcome you with a smile in their own homes. Then, we will reach the easternmost part of India till Dibrugarh and we will go back to Guwahati passing through Kaziranga National Park.
Welcome ! Upon arrival you will be received and transferred to your hotel. After the check-in, your afternoon will be available at leisure.
After breakfast, depart for the day excursion to Chandannagar, a small town about 40 km far from Calcutta.
Located on the banks of the Ganges River, the city has managed to keep its original characteristics. The city of freedom has always attracted people from all over the world thakns to its beauty. The population, despite of the vast area in which it is located, boasts only 150 thousand inhabitants.
This town, over a long period of 300 years, has been able to build a unique cultural heritage. Its name probably derives from the shape of the bank of the Ganges, which is like an half moon, "Chand" actually means moon and "nagore" means "city" in the Bengali language.
Chandannagar is home of many tourist sites, such as museums, churches, temples that maybe are not well known but which leave to the visitor an unforgettable memory.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Guwahati.

Guwahati is located on the south bank of the Brahmaputra River in Assam's Kamrup district, and it is a rapidly expanding city. It is the gateway to the north eastern states of India and the main socio-cultural, political, industrial and trade center of the region.
Located on top of the hill of Nilachal, the Kamakhya Temple dominates the life of the city as the great river Brahmaputra. It is the ancient seat of worship for the Hindu tantra and shakti; during the month of June, in occasion of the Ambubachi festival, the crowd of faithful goes to this temple.
Visiting of Srimanta Shankerveda Kalashetra, where the cultural richness of the region is enhanced.

After breakfast, boat trips on the river Brahmaputra to reach the Temple Umananda, located on Peacock.
The temple position, at the end of a series of steps in front of the beach Bhasmachala, is perhaps more striking than the temple itself.
We will continue with the visiting of Sualkuchi, where you will explore the fascinating world of silk of Assam, whose quality is recognized worldwide.
The most valuable variety is the muga, the golden silk typical of this area.
Our trip will lead to Hajo, located on the north bank of the river. It is the meeting point for Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus and here you can find many temples. The most important of these is certainly the Hayagrib Madhab, a pilgrimage site for both Buddhists for Hindus.
Continuation to the Nameri National Park and accommodation at the Eco Camp.
Overnight.
After breakfast, transfer to Itanagar and hotel accommodation.
In the afternoon there will be a visit to the Tibetan Monastery, the Fort and the local market.
Itanagar is the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. Its name derives from the historic fort located in the city center.

After breakfast, departure for Ziro, located about 1,750 meters above sea level on a plain surrounded by hills of pines.
On the way stop to visit the tribal village of Nischi.
In Ziro, one of the most beautiful hill resort of Arunachal Pardesh, we will meet the local people of Apatanies, specialists in the creation of hand looms. The area where the town is located is characterized by a diversity of flora and fauna.

Full day at Ziro valley, including some tribal villages such as Hong, Hari and Hija.
Wherever you will go, the welcome will be warm.
The characteristics of the women belonging to Apatani population are the bamboo plugs inserted on the nostrils and the tattoos on their faces. Men, instead of bamboo plugs, wear rings called Tarin.

After breakfast, departure for Daporijo.
On the way we will stop at the tribal villages of Tagin, Hillimiri and Nishi.
Overnight at a very simple guest house but close to the local population.
After breakfast, departure for Along.
Enroute we will visit the village of Darka.

Full day excursion to Along with all its tribal villages where the tribes who inhabit them have names and different traditions but they all came from the seed stock of the Adi tribe.
Characteristic of this excursion will be the way on the suspension bridge of Hanging Bridge, 70 meters long and built with bamboo canes.

After breakfast departure for Pasighat, the house of Adis who are popular thanks to their colorful costumes.
On the way you can admire the place where the Siyom river flows into the River Siang, and a tribal village where lives the ancient tribes of Adi Minyong.

After breakfast, transfer to the harbor to take the ferry which will lead us to Dibrugarh and accommodation at the Heritage Chang Bungalow.
The city is the place where in the 13th century settled the Ahoms, some populations from Thailand. Here they built a kind of paradise, characterized by tea plantations that provide for a peaceful atmosphere far away from pollution and the frenetic life.
In the evening there will be a show performed by an ethnic group, who will put on stage the famous Bihu dance, which has no equal according to rythm and exuberance.
These dances are made by both boys and girls and they reflect the passion and the happiness for the rebirth of life during the spring. They are accompanied with songs related to the theme of the amorous desire.

After breakfast, the departure is set in order to visit the village of Tai Phakial that maintains the ancient traditions of the Ahom period. The village is located close to the Buri Dihing River and is characterized by houses with roofs of palm leaves and walls of bamboo canes.
On the way to Digboi, stop at the Bell Temple, whose history was born about 60 years ago when a man was asked in a dream to pull a wire around a tree and hang a bell. This man did as he was asked in the dream and since then thousands of bells were placed in this temple with a red thread that surrounds them.
Arrival in Digboi where there are about 200 tombs, thanks to the intervention of the Commission of the Commonwealth War. Towards the end of the 19th century, here was discovered oil and the refinery of this city is one of the oldest existing. Thanks to the presence of professional workers from England, the town developed infrastructure such as the 18 holes golf field.
Return to Dibrugarh and overnight.
After breakfast departure for Jorhat and along the way we will stop in Sivasagar to visit the Ahom monuments belonging to 13th century.
Sivagasar was the capital of the Athom Reign. The Shams population came here from Thailand passing through the North of in the early 13th century and ruled for 600 years. It is believed that the Shiva temple located in this town is the highest form of art among the Hindu temples.
The landscape is dotted with the ruins of palaces and Athom monuments, as the largest and oldest amphitheater of India (the Rang Ghar).
You will also visit the Museum which contains some historical remains of the Athom period, such as swords, clothes, manuscripts and various artifacts.

After breakfast, boarding on the ferry that in about two hours will lead us to Majuli, the largest inhabited river island of the world and famous for its monasteries like Kamalabari, the Auniati, the Bengati and the culture of its tribes.
The island is located on the confluence of the rivers Brahmaputra and Subansiri and it was the perfect shelter for the Vaishavite community. Now it is famous for its rural landscape and for examples of Assamese and Mishing architecture.
Once arrived on the island, transfer on the road to the monastery passing through villages of local tribes, where a monaco will make an orientation tour of temples and cells. Here it is mandatory to take off your shoes to gain access to the monastery.

After breakfast, we will continue our visiting of the island.
In the afternoon come back to the mainland and transfer to Kaziranga. Hotel accommodation.
The park is a world heritage site, there you can find the two-thirds of the indian rhinos of the world. It is located on a wide prairie wetlands, on the north bank of the Brahmaputra River and is one of the oldest parks of the region.
Besides rhinos, there are about 1,200 water buffaloes, over a thousand elephants, ten tigers and at least 400 species of birds.
The park has been the subject of numerous books, documentaries as well as being celebrated in many songs.

Full day dedicated to safaris.
At early morning there will be a safari on elephant back to last about 45 minutes and in the afternoon a jeep safari.
After breakfast, transfer to airport to take the flight from Guwahati to Calcutta.
The end of our tour has come. After breakfast, you will have free time until the transfer to the airport.
