This 13-day tour will take on a journey through amazing Argentinian flora and fauna. We'll visit Peninsula Valdes, with its many natural reserves that preserve marine species, we'll go watching the wildlife in Puerto Piramides, we'll then move south to the natural reserve of Punta Tombo, where you'll make the acquaintance with a colony of Magellanic penguins. In Esquel you'll explore Alerces National Park with its thousand-year-old trees and lake. You'll go sightseeing in Bariloche and Villa La Angostura, where you'll have a free day to walk through Myrtle Forest National Park. Finally, we'll take you to San Martin de los Andes, founded on a land that once belonged to the Mapuche community.

    Trelew / Puerto Madryn - Peninsula Valdes
    Day 1

    Arrival in Trelew airport.

    We'll take the vehicle and start the trip to Peninsula de Valdez (216 km). All along the coast you will find many nature reserves that protect the marine species. Once we get to Puerto Piramides you will have the chance to take one of the excursions of wildlife watching. You can for example watch the whales that arrive to the Patagonian coast from June to December. In the northern area of the Peninsula, there is one of the biggest colonies of elephant seals.

    Day 2

    Free day.

    We suggest you to explore the northern area of the Peninsula where you will find an important colony of Magellanic penguins, around 500,000 specimen. In late September, tourists have the chance to watch some farm related activities such as shearing.

    Peninsula Valdes - Puerto Madryn - Punta Tombo - Gaiman
    Day 3

    We move south to see the nature reserve of Punta Tombo, which conserves an important colony of Magellanic penguins where you will be able to see the penguins considerably close.

    Gaiman - Esquel
    Day 4

    Departing from Gaiman taking the N 25 road. After a few hours, we get to Esquel, where we will spend two nights.

    Esquel - Alerces National Park
    Day 5

    We will visit the Alerces National Park. Located west of Chubut where you will be able to see thousand-year-old trees and the Futalaufquen Lake. This area is a perfect spot for fishing.

    Day 6

    We continue further north through N 40 road. On the way to Bariloche you will go through Lake Puelo and "El Bolson".

    Free day to explore the region. We recommend you to go to the Cerro Catedral, which is the most famous ski center during the winter season.

    Free day to explore the region.

    We suggest you to take "Puerto Blest navigation", that goes from Puerto Pañuelos to Los Cántaros waterfalls located in the Valdivian forest. We highly recommend you to take the navigation to Victoria Island (30 minutes boat ride).Once in Puerto Anchorena free time to see rock paintings or visit  Playa del Toro. We continue sailing to Arrayanes Forest (Myrtle Forest).

    Bariloche - Villa La Angostura
    Day 9

    Villa La Angostura is located on the northwestern margin of Lake Nahuel Huapi, between two recognized tourist spots: SC Bariloche and San Martin de los Andes. You can visit  "Bayo hill" ski center.

    San Martin de los Andes is located southwest, inside Lanin National Park and surrounded by Lake Lácar.  It was founded on February 4, 1898, on  a land belonging to the Mapuche community.
