Other highlights of the itinerary include:
Train from Oruro to Uyuni. Arrival and overnight in the hotel.
After breakfast, you'll start your tour visiting the Train Cemetery, Colchania, manufacturing and processing of salt, salt mounds, eyes of salt and Salt Museum. Visit Incahuasi island, the tourist center with a path surrounded by millenial cactuses, corals and viscachas.
After lunch continue on to Coquesa community to visit the lookout of Thunupa volcano and the mummies. Arrival in Tahua village and overnight in the hotel.
In the morning visit the highland local communities producing royal quinoa. You'll cross Chiguana salt desert and reach Ollague volcano lookout.
After lunch explore the salt lagoons, Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkota and Honda, and end the day visiting Eduardo Avaroa Reserve, where you will see vicunas, alpacas and llamas in their natural habitat. Arrival in Ojo de Perdiz and overnight in the hotel.
At 5 a.m. the tour starts by crossing Silioli desert and visit the Stone tree at the break of dawn. You'll surely appreciate Sol de Mañana geysers when they are most active. Continue on to Laguna Colorada lookout and Polques thermal springs where you can enjoy a relaxing bath.
Following the volcanic range to south-east Bolivia, you'll be surprised by the sights of Laguna Blanca, Laguna Verde and imposing Licancabur volcano. Leaving the magic of the lagoons and volcanoes behind, you'll enter Villamar to observe its bogs and rocks and visit the last lagoon of Laguna Capina route, where nature will leave you breathless one more time.
After lunch return to Uyuni via Alota, Culpina K and San Cristobal. Around 6 p.m. arrival in Uyuni. Train from Uyuni to Oruro.
Arrive in Oruro and end of service.
