Portugal going through villages

Pick up at the hotel and transfer from Oporto to Arcos de Valdevez. We begin our tour with a hike through a diverse, rural and mountain scenery of dense shrubby vegetation, rich in history and culture. Discover mountain villages, ancient agro-pastoral constructions and cliffs. Lunch in a typical restaurant. We carry on our journey with an amusing peddy-paper in Arcos de Valdevez, a unique way to discover this charming village and to interact with the local population. We also invite you to make a stop in a regional tavern, in order to whet your appetite with some regional family delicacies. Dinner and accommodation at a typical rural tourism house and restaurant.

Start your day with a great breakfast and smile: today the activities are of your choice and will! If you are thirsty for tradition, we invite to take part in a private Workshop, in which you will learn how to make corn bread following the traditional method - a genuine experience truly connected to the portuguese identity. While waiting for the final result, you will have some time to walk within the surrounding areas of the National Park. On the other hand, if sports seem more appealing, then don't miss this chance to go River Canoeing: head towards the river, grab your paddles and follow our expert guide! For lunch we have prepared for you a regional picnic - if you have choosen the Corn Bread Workshop, then this will be the ideal time to taste the bread you have made earlier. Meanwhile, we have more joyful activities awaiting: try Horseback Riding along the mountain trails (suitable for inexperient and experient travelers) or choose the comfort of a 4x4 vehicle to discover the region and hop-on on a Jeep Tour that crosses some off-beaten tracks. Next, we head to Ponte da Barca, a picturesque place by the river that worths a visit. Enjoy the late afternoon to walk in the historical center and count on Splendid Evasion's tips to decide on the restaurant for tonight's dinner. Rural Tourism House accommodation.

Breakfast. This morning the river is leading the way: walking or riding a bike, follow the ecotrail and the quietness of this green landscape. We then carry on and reach our last destination: Ponte de Lima. After tasting the best flavours of the region in a typical restaurant, take the free time and the afternoon to cross the bridge that gave name to this place, relax on the park and stroll between history and landmarks along the narrow streets; top it all with a drink facing the river and the atmosphere of Ponte de Lima. Return trip to Oporto and drop-off at the hotel. End of our services.
