Christmas holidays in Finland: Days before New Year in Vuokatti

How about spending your Christmas holidays with your family in the best country of Europe for this period of the year? This tour offers you an amazing experience in Voukatti, famous ski centre in Finland, from December 26 to December 30. 

Vuokatti  is a sport resort known for the excellent cross-country ski tracks. Here you will find winter in their ski and snowboard tunnels all year round. Vuokatti is located in north-eastern Finland, which gets its first natural snow typically in early November and the winter season lasts until mid-April. The distance from the town of Kajaani, where there is an airport, is only 35km. There are 150 kilometers of ski tracks in total, out of which 32 kilometres are lighted. 

You will be accommodated in cosy apartments between the slopes, where all the services are within a walking distance. Depending on the size of your group you will get either a small, medium-size or big apartment with a well-equiped kitchen and a sauna. 

Here are some of the amazing activities you will enjoy during the tour (Program timetable will be agreed within the group):

• Vuokatti Husky will take you for a sled dog ride in the Winter Wonderland. For your Christmas package we have selected the Alfons' Runaway, which suites for the whole family. It is a 6 km long forest route, which is long enough to make you feel the charm of sledge dog driving. The route is driven in pairs so that in halfway the adults can change places and both get to try mushing . Children sit warn in the sledge.

• Short winter days are an unmissable experience. At Christmas the lenght of the day in Kajaani is officially 4 hours. For approximately 6,5 hours you can see outside. Despite of this, nothing stops and in addiition to the lighted ski-tracks and slopes there are also a lot of indoor activities available: indoor activity arena, the snow boarding tunnel as well as the Angry Birds Activity Park, Freestyle Hall and Vuokatti Golf Arena.
