A trip between Barra do Garças and Ilha do Côco

Meeting and transfer to Barra do Garças, check-in at booked hotel.

Free time during the rest of the day. It is possible to take part in some optional activities, as 2 h kayaking in Rio Garças.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Then, visit to the historical centre of Barra do Garças, characterized by unique history and culture.

After lunch, transfer to Parque Estadual da Pedra Azul. Photographic break in Disco Porto and Mirante do Cristo, then the tour continues to the waterfalls (3km). Walking along the park's path, you will meet Lajedo river, which forms seven waterfalls, where it is possible to swim.

Overnight in Barra do Garças.

After breakfast, transfer to Córrego Bateia. You will move on board of a 4x4 jeep through 14 km of dirt road with streams and steep grounds. This picturesque location is characterized by beautiful waterfalls, which form natural pools, suitable for relax. Furthermore, the natural hydro-massage jets and the natural slides make this area even more attractive. You will reach this paradise after 500 m of hike.

Lunch to recover strength to continue the trekking.

Along a 1,5 km way, it is possible to admire other amazing waterfalls, as Caldeirão da Bruxa and Poço Esmeralda. They form natural pools where it is possible to refresh and have fun thanks to the natural slides. Walking for another kilometer, you will reach the Ponte de Pedra waterfall. It boasts natural hydro-massage jets, and the Salto do Bateia, 72 m high, from which it is possible to admire the breathtaking canyon.

Overnight in Barra do Garças.

Optional escursion to Clube das Águas Quentes.

After breakfast, you will leave Barra do Garças for Vale dos Sonhos, 65 km far. Here lies the suggestive Serra do Roncador, where it is possible to admire the rock formations, which seem like animal and human figures. These caves were the ancient shelter of the prehistoric men.

During the route, several visits are scheduled:

• Bico da Serra do Roncador, located to the side of BR158, it is an amazing panoramic point, a rock formation which remembers a religious image and a warrior;
• Arco de Pedra, located on the top of the mountain range. You will walk along 300 m admiring the Araguaia valley and another rock formation;
• Gruta da Estrela Azul, an archaeological site located 200 m from the Arco de Pedra. It is a small cave with engravings;
• Cachoeiras Gêmeas, wonderful "twin-waterfalls", where it is possible to take unforgettable pictures.

You will enjoy your lunch at a typical restaurant with home-made cuisine in Vale dos Sonhos.

Today you will travel for 230 km by car and 3 km by foot. Overnight on the famous Ilha de Coco in the middle of Rio das Mortes.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Then, you will cross Rio das Mortes, the third most limpid river in the world, with a canoe, and continue by car to reach the Saludade Waterfall, a perfect place for swimming.

After having enjoyed the natural pools, return on the island to enjoy the lunch.

Free time during the afternoon to discover the amazing white sandy beaches of the river.

Overnight on Ilha do Coco.

After breakfast, transfer by car to Fazenda da Boniza. You will walk for 2 km to reach the crystal-clear waterfalls.

Lunch prepared by the island's owner for the whole group.

During the afternoon time available to relax, enjoy the natural pools and admire the several and colourful birds as well as the sailing boats.

At night it is possible to lie down outside and admire the Brazilian starry sky.

Overnight in Barra do Gaças.

In the morning, you will reach Vale dos Sonhos, 50 km far. Then, stop at Furna do Mineiro farmstead. Here it is possible to explore the uplands of Serra do Roncador, a place boasting several amazing waterfalls.

This area does not have electricity and most of the food is cultivated within the property. After having drunk a coffee offered by the owners, the tour continues towards the waterfall along a 3 km path way.

From here it is possible to admire an heterogeneous and lush vegetation and the beautiful 55 m high waterfall, where it is possible to swim.

Homemade lunch offered by a local family, that lives thanks to agricultural products.

In the late afternoon you will come back to the city, en-route you will be fascinated by the beautiful Serra do Roncador's landscape.

Transfer to Cuiabá ou Goiânia airport.
