Transfer to Cinque Terre by train, visiting the village of Manarola, an urban jewel of Genoese-style case-torri. Continue to Vernazza, overlooked by the remains of a castle and medieval tower from the 11th century. Next, visit the 13th-century village of Riomaggiore. Day 3: Florence Grand Panoramic + Welcome to Florence Tour: Meet your guide at Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence for a scenic morning drive by comfortable minivan. Enjoy panoramic views of the domes and bridges of Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo, before heading to the Etruscan town of Fiesole, driving through some of the lesser known suburbs of Florence. Return to Florence for a guided walking tour of the historic center. The 1.5-hour walking tour gives you a great overview of the city’s 2,000-year history, from its Roman origins to its emergence in the Renaissance. Go to a 15th-century palace and the jewelry stores of the covered Ponte Vecchio across the Arno River. Marvel at the facade of the Uffizi Gallery, and gaze in awe at Brunelleschi’s Dome overlooking the Baptistery's “Gates of Paradise”.
