Upon arrival at Colombo International Airport, you will be met and greeted with fresh orchid garlands by a Spanish speaking guide. You will travel to Colombo where you will check in to the Tintagel Hotel, a unique and private luxury hotel, situated in the heart of Colombo’s most elite neighbourhood.
Offering 10 individually designed suites with all modern amenities and services; Tintagel Colombo is housed in a stunning heritage structure that was once home to three of Sri Lanka’s political leaders.
In the afternoon and evening you can explore the city of Colombo - for example, go to Galle Face, do some shopping, visit the Pettah marketplace, or go to a beach in Mount Lavinia, before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you will be on your way to Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, a popular tourist attraction where you will see herds of abandoned elephants taken care of with tender love. The elephant herd in Pinnawela makes reaches the river twice a day to bathe under the eyes of tourists.
After spending some time with these incredible animals, you will continue to Sigiriya, where you will spend the next 2 nights at Vil Uyana; a luxury boutique built as a typical Lankan village. The journey from the main road to the hotel will surely be memorable since an exclusive bullock cart will take you along the beaten track with Sri Lankan hospitality in the form of ‘Thambili’ (king coconut) and cold towels.
You will then enjoy for a scrumptious lunch at Vil Uyana and the tranquillity of this boutique hotel till dinner and bedtime.

After breakfast you will climb the mind blowing Rock Fortress of Sigiriya, one of Sri Lanka's biggest attractions. Sigiriya, a Unesco World Heritage Site, is a spectacular rock fortress built by King Kashyapa. You'll be entranced by the Water Gardens, the Sigiri Frescoes, the Mirror Wall, the Lion platform and the main Summit on top of the rock.
You then will return back to the hotel for lunch. After a little break you will travel to Polonnaruwa, the second medieval capital of Sri Lanka. Built during the 11th and 12th Centuries AD, it is one of the best preserved cities in Sri Lanka. Interesting sites to visit are the Royal Palace and the marvellous Gal Viharaya complex where statues of Buddha in different postures can be seen.
Many of the existing ruins were buildings ordered by Parakramabahu the Great, the last in a sequence of warrior-kings, who developed the city on a lavish scale. He is also credited with the massive artificial lake that lies to the west of the city, the Sea of Parakrama.
Back in the hotel an exclusive dinner in the hotel's wine cellar waiting for you and you will be treated to a bottle of the finest wine.

After breakfast, you will leave for the town of Kandy, while visiting the Dambulla rock temples, Aluvihare Cave Temples and the Matale Spice Garden. Dambulla rock temples are made up of five cave temples constructed in the 1st century BC. Today the temple is a World Heritage Site housing many statues and paintings dating back to the 12th century and some of the latest ones of the 18th century.
After the visit it's on to Kandy, stopping at the Matale Spice Garden on the way. The Spice Garden boasts an assortment of lush gardens containing cinnamon, cardamoms, pepper plants and many other spices. You'll see how they are grown and processed and learn the different spices and its significance to the local cuisine.
Aluvihare is known as the place where the teachings of the Buddha, the Tripitaka, were first transcribed on to manuscript in the 2nd century BC. Aluvihare is a rock monastery situated in a valley 3km north of Matale, conveniently located for those traversing the Cultural Triangle. It has a boundary wall with a frieze of elephant heads.
You'll then proceed to Kandy and check in at the Kandy House Hotel, a small boutique hotel located in a very scenic setting with a bird's eye view of the hill capital. Kandy is famous for the Temple of the Tooth and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Home to the sacred relic of the tooth of the Buddha, a visit to the Dalada Maligawa or Temple of the Tooth, is an experience no tourist should miss. Afterwards, you will return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens, regarded as one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in South Asia. Special features here are the Orchid House, the fernery, spice garden, and the trees planted by distinguished visitors to the Island.
You will then leave Kandy for Ceylon Tea Trails luxury bungalow in Bogawantalawa valley in central Sri Lanka. This area is known as the Golden Valley of Tea and home to old Ceylon, full of green hills, plantation bungalows, high tea and exquisite service.
At an elevation of 4000 feet above sea level, you will find Ceylon Tea Trails, four colonial era tea planter's bungalows , infused with a new and decidedly gourmet vibe. Each villa, built between 1890 and 1939, offers a taste of gracious living thanks to butler service and authentic period furnishings, accompanied by gourmet meals.
You will spend the afternoon in the bungalow or the surrounding areas at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Tea Trails bungalow.

You will leave Tea Trails after breakfast to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka's premier hill resort with a refreshing mountain climate. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country, producing some of the world's best tea. Mountain slopes and valleys are covered in lush green tea plantations making it a mountain paradise.
You will spend your day in Nuwara Eliya visiting places of interest, horseback riding and taking a walk in the picturesque city.
Thereafter, you will return back to Tea Trails for dinner and a good night's sleep.

After an early breakfast at the hotel you will travel to Colombo and visit Kitulgala on the way.
Once mainly known as the location for the film 'Bridge On The River Kwai', Kitulgala is now gaining popularity as a white water rafting destination. White water rafting on the Kelani river from Kitulgala is one of the most exciting and accessible activities Sri Lanka has to offer.
You will stop at the Mlesna Tea Centre for some high tea. This is another unique location and ideal photo stop where St. Clare and Devon waterfalls are located. A special deluxe lunch will also be organized en route.
Once you reach Colombo, you will check in to the Oceanic Spa Suite in the Regency Wing at the Galle Face Hotel. You will visit Colombo once again going on a brief city tour to get a glimpse of the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Your last dinner and night will be spent at the grand Galle Face Hotel.

Breakfast and checkout from the hotel on time before you leave to the airport in time for departure. Of course, you are welcome to extend your stay, to maybe visit the beaches in Sri Lanka or any other program you may enjoy. Just let us know in advance.
