Natural and urban landscapes in the United States of America

Departure from New York to reach New England. As the name suggests, the region boasts in the tradition and architecture British influences. You will pass: Connecticut and Massachusetts, till arrive in Boston. This latter is considered the cradle of the american history and the home of some prestigious universities.

During the afternoon panoramic tour of the city. You will visit the colonial district (from where the  American War of Independence started), Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, and other main sights, among which the Old State House (where the Boston Massacre happened), the copy of the boat of the Boston Tea Party, the elegant Mount Vernon Street and Louisburg Plaza (still illuminated with gas lamps), Copley Square, and Newbury Street, a zone rich in malls, antique dealers, renowned shops and coffee bars.

After breakfast the tour continues to Niagara Falls. You will pass through the states of Massachusetts and New York. During the route it is possible to enjoy beautiful natural landscapes, characterized by forests, lakes and mountains, among which Berkshires Hills, which encloses the fertile river valley of Connecticut (it was inhabitated by Algonquian Indian), and Finger Lakes, eleven glacial lakes, located among Ontario Lake and the border with Pennsylvania, a popular touristic destination rich in lush vineyards.

Once arrived in Niagara Falls, you will enjoy a short panoramic tour of the waterfalls, one of the most famous natural wonders in the world. They are known for their majestic water flow, but in particular, thanks to the beauty and uniqueness of the provided landscapes.

During the morning, cruise on board of the "Maid of the Mist" to complete the visit of the beautiful waterfalls. Thanks to the particular position reachable with the boat, it is possible to enjoy an amazing view of the waterfalls from below.

Once arrived, you will enjoy a panoramic tour of this imporant Canadian city.

Back to the hotel in Niagara, dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, the tour continues to Harrisburg, capital city of Pennsylvania.

The city is located on the boarder of the Amish Country zone, where a particular community live. The latter is composed by a protestant group with Menonita roots migrates from Germany, which still lives as it was in 1800.

According to the arrival time, there is the chance to stop in the outlet shops, before reaching the hotel in Harrisburg.

After breakfast departure for Washington, the capital city of United States of America. During the travel you will pass through Pennsylvania and Maryland.

The afternoon is devoted to a panoramic tour of the city.

Unmissable spots are: Arlington National Cemetery (built during the American Civil War and located on the bank of the Potomac River. It hosts the tombs of unknown militaries and the tomb of Kennedy's family), the suggestive memorials of Lincoln, Vietnam and Corea Wars (all located in the big park of National Mall), an unmissable view of the White House from Lafayette Avenue, the west side of Capitol (offical headquarter of the Congress of United States, with its characteristic dome), the Washington Monument, the Federal Triangle, a triangular area in Washington (a road where Constitution Avenue crosses Pennsylvania Avenue), the National Gallery of Arts and the famous official national Museums managed by Smithsonian Institution, among which the National Air and Space Museum.

Then, transfer to New York. During the travel stop in Philadelphia, the fifth most populated city of United States) to a brief visit of the city. Philadephia represents an important city for the birth of United States of America, indeed, here the Declaration of Independece was declared in 1776.
