It will be an unforgettable holiday, here are the highlights of the itinerary:
Arrival at Mexico City International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Full day visit of Mexico City and Totihuacan archaeological site. A visit to "Zocalo" is also scheduled: it is the main square with the Cathedral and National Palace. You'll then visit Templo Mayor and the Church of Our Lady of Guadelupe, Mexico's patron and main pilgrimage center in Latin America.
At the end you'll visit Teotihuacan with the imposing Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Travel by bus to Puebla and visit the town, which is famous for its baroque churches and local pottery. At the end proceed to Oaxaca. Overnight in hotel.
Full day visit of the surroundings of Oaxaca, starting with Monte Alban, the religious capital of the Zapotec population. Built on a leveled hill, it's full of pyramids and tombs and is located in a marvelous panoramic position. Here, we'll find several evidences of different populations, such as Olmecs, Mixtecs and Zapotecs. Then, the tour proceeds to Mitla, an ancient Mixteco center, with a stop over at "Tule", an imposing tree which is believed to be the oldest in the world.
Return to Oaxaca in the afternoon to enjoy the wonders of the city, which boasts wonderful crafts, tasty gastronomy and important sights, such as the Cathedral, the fabulous Santo Domingo church, the Museum of Gold and the lively and colorful "20 de Noviembre" an indoor market.
Free time to explore beautiful Oaxaca. In the afternoon departure by night bus towards Tuxtla Gutierrez.
Morning arrival in Tuxtla Gutierrez, the capital city of the state of Chiapas. Transfer to Chiapa de Corzo to visit impressive Canyon del Sumidero on a motor boat. Proceed to San Cristobal de las Casas, arrival and overnight in hotel.
Today you'll visit the native communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan, situated a few kilometers from Cristobal. You'll also visit the town, the local market and the famous churches, including baroque Santo Domingo church.
Today you'll descend the mountains of Chiapas, crossing green valleys. Stop over at Agua Azu waterfalls. Arrival in Palenque and check-in to the hotel.
Full morning visit of Palenque archaeological area, half hidden in the tropical jungle but still fascinating thanks to its unique pyramids.
Departure to Campeche. Upon arrival brief tour of the old city, still walled and fortified with towers. At the end check-in to the hotel.
Today's first stop is at Uxmal archaeological site, one of the most important remains of the Mayan civilization. In the afternoon you'll arrive in Merida, the capital city of Yucatan, the "white city", so called due to its colonial buildings.
You'll also stop over at the "zocalo" to visit the Cathedral, the Palace of Government, the City Hall and the House of Montejo. Overnight in hotel.
Departure to Cancun with a stop over at Chichen Itza, probably the most famous Mayan archaeological area, with world-renowned Kukulkan Pyramid. Arrival in Cancun in the late afternoon and check-in to the hotel.
Transfer to the airport and end of service.
NOTE: The visits mentioned in the program are just a sample, the group can decide to follow this itinerary or not. Transfers for sightseeing are not included in the price, guests will decide with the guide whether to travel by public transport, taxi or other. Min. 4 people.
