    Visiting Mexico City
    Day 1

    Welcome to Mexico! You will take a walking tour to the impressive zócalo in beautiful Mexico City, declared a World Heritage site by Unesco, which is a connection between what was the Aztec empire and present day Mexico. Tour through the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace and the Palace of Fine Arts. Free time to enjoy the city.

    Mexico City- Tuxtla Gutierrez - Canyon del Sumidero - Chiapa de Corzo - San Cristobal de las Casas
    Day 2

    Breakfast and transfer to the airport to take a local flight to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. Arrival at destination and reception by the guide. You will start your tour to the Canyon del Sumidero. Arrive at the pier to board a boat, followed by a two hour boat ride through the canyon. Tour of the colonial city of Chiapa de Corzo, recently named a World Heritage site by Unesco for the celebrations of parachicos. Guided tour of San Cristobal de Las Casas.

    San Cristobal - Chiflon and Montello lakes -Indigenous community
    Day 3-4

    Breakfast included at the hotel starting at 7 a.m. and group leaving at 8 a.m. Heading towards Cascada El Chiflon. Upon arrival you will go on a long hike to visit the waterfall Velo de Novia, 120 meters high. Immediately following you will continue your route traveling through the Montebello lakes. You'll return to San Cristóbal to enjoy the afternoon in this beautiful place.Dinner at leisure.

    On the second day, after the breakfast, you will leave for your visit to the indigenous communities of the Tzotzil ethnic group; visiting first Chamula, to learn about the fusion between Maya ancestral characteristics and contemporary traditions that identifies this place. Later, you will head to Zinacantán, where you will visit the church and the house of a family cooperative.

    Here you will observe as the women work the waist loom from Pre-Columbian times. When finished, you will return to San Cristóbal de Las Casas and have a tour of this beautiful city. The rest of the day is free. Lodging.

    San Cristobal de las Casas -Palenque
    Day 5

    After breakfast, you will head to Palenque. On the way, you will stop by Agua Azul, a set of waterfalls created by the currents of the Otulún, Shumuljá and Tulijá rivers. The rivers form a shallow canyon with vertical cliffs, where it will be possible to be swim and enjoy the surroundings. Later, you will continue to the waterfalls of Misol-Ha, 30 meters high and surrounded by rain forest, a beautiful and refreshing place. Transfer to the hotel in the city of Palenque. Lodging.

    Palenque - Yaxchilan -Bonampak
    Day 6

    You will leave very early, at approximately 6 am, towards Frontera Corozal (you will stop to have breakfast in the way). Once at the border with Guatemala you will sail by the Usumacinta River approximately one hour until arriving at the impressive archaeological site of Yaxchilán, magical with luxuriant vegetation and famous place due to the quality of its sculptures.

    On your way back, you will continue with the visit of Bonampak. Its name means “Painted Walls”, and the beauty of this site it’s in these paintings, since on the walls of the enclosures are the best conserved paintings of the Mayan World. Later, you will return to Palenque. Lodging.

    Palenque- Villahermosa- Mexico City
    Day 7

    After breakfast you will visit the most important Mayan archaeological site of Palenque. This Maya city is noted for its constructions, such as The Palace, the Temple of Cruz Foliada, the Temple of the Sun and others. Later, you will have the opportunity to visit the museum “Alberto Ruz Lhuillier”, considered one of the more notable archaeological museums of the Maya area.

    The museum reunites approximately 234 objects from different areas in Palenque. These artifacts represent sources of intelligence on the religious, practical beliefs, rituals and forms of political organization of the local society. Additionally, you will view the sarcophagus of Pakal, housed with the intention of safeguarding the original monument inside the Temple of the Inscriptions. When finished you'll leave for the city of Villahermosa where you will be transferred to the airport and fly to Mexico City.

    Mexico City - Teotihuacan
    Day 8

    After breakfast you will have a private tour to Teotihuacan. The tour begins with a visit to The Basilica of Guadalupe. This majestic church is the place of worship of Our Lady of Guadalupe, formerly Tonantzin, a legendary invocation of the Virgin Mary that is recognized by believers and non-believers alike. Afterwards, you will visit the Teotihuacan archaeological site, also known as the “City of the Gods,” where you can climb the spectacular Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon and find breathtaking views.

    You will walk along the famous “Avenue of the Dead” and will appreciate some of the ancient temples in which the people payed homage to their deities (sun and moon). You’ll be amazed by the ancient history and mysticism of this extraordinary place. Lunch included.  Afterwards you will go back down town where you will have some time to enjoy this beautiful city (9 hours tour).
