Brazil Rock Painting Tour in Sete Cidade and Serra de Capivara national parks

Discover the archaeological cultural heritage of Brazil, the largest country of South America, with this unique tailormade tour and holiday! Meet the cultural and natural heritage of two important national parks of Piauí, getting an insight on the singularities of the typical Brazilian biome, the Caatinga. In these parks you will find a big concentration of archaeological sites currently known in the Americas, with more than a thousand registered sites. In shelters, in addition to graphic demonstrations are several traces of the presence of prehistoric man, with the oldest dating known in the Americas. The region is home to 173 archaeological sites open to visitors. 

This tour was designed for those who are curious to discover the cave paintings. This form of expression is a way to meet the prehistoric man and to understand a little of modern man. The places chosen allow the connection between different generations and contact with the environment through the trails. 

The security is one of the basic premises and weather conditions are constantly monitored since activities are run only in ideal conditions, both in summer and winter. The ideal period is between the months of May and October (min 2, max 4 participants, the route can be adjusted to participants' preferences).

During your tour and vacation you'll visit:

• Sete Cidades National Park: An area of transition between savanna and cerrado, brings together seven groups of rock formations nicknamed "cities". Wind, rain, heat and flora carved natural monuments, creating shapes that resemble symbols, animals and human figures.
• Serra de Capivara National Park: Serra da Capivara National Park was declared by UNESCO Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 1991. There is the largest concentration of archaeological sites currently known in the Americas, with more than a thousand registered sites. Here you also can visit the American Man Museum.
