The Sincorá Route

Meetup at the Lençóis airport (or Lençóis Bus Station) and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight in Lençóis.

Pick up at 8:30 from the hotel, you will move to the northern edge of National Park.

In the morning you will reach Iraquara, the regional Cave Capital and then walk through the huge limestone Lapa Doce cave. It is characterized by big rock formations, stalactites and columns.

At the end of the visit, you will enjoy a tasty regional lunch and discover the Pratinha Farm and the amazing Blue Cave.

The afternoon is dedicated to a hike to the top of the Morro do Pai Inácio (20 minutes), perhaps the most popular postcard-view of the Chapada Diamantina. Staying on the peak of this majestic table-mountain you will enjoy a breath-taking view of the whole valley and the National Park itself. You will have also the chance to admire the sunset before returning to Lençóis.

Overnight in Lençóis.

At 8:30 you will pick up from your hotel and transfer to Capão Valley by car.

This day is dedicated to the visit of the tallest waterfalls in Brazil: the Fumaça Waterfalls. To reach this natural wonder you have to hike 2 km uphill and 4 km on flat lands. During the walk you will enjoy beautiful views of the valley and the surrounding mounatins.

Upon arrival at the waterfalls, it is possible to enjoy a scenic view from a lookout point and have lunch.

Here, you will have the opportunity to swimm in Riachinho River. Overnight in Capão Valley.

At 9:00 you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the end of Capão valley.

You will take part in a traditional hike from Capão valley to the village of Guiné. The first part of the trek encloses a lot of uphills untill Paty Valley. Then, the following 14 km are characterized by a rolling trail surrounded by wonderful tabletop mountains. Finally, during the last 2 km, you will go downhill and stop at Guiné.

Transfer by car to the town of Mucugê.

Overnight in Mucugê.

Pick-up at 8:00 from your hotel and transfer by car to Ibicoara to visit the Buracão Waterfall: one of the most beautiful in the Chapada Diamantina!

This natural jewel is characterized by 100 m high falls surrounded by amazing and colourful canyons. It is possibile to enjoy the waterfall both from the top and the bottom.

Lunch at the Orquídeas waterfall and return to Mucugê.

Overnight in Mucugê.

Today you will visit the amazing 3 Barras Waterfall.

Starting with a 20 minutes car ride from Mucugê, you will trek along the Piaba river to reach your destination.

Lunch and time for swimming. 

Then, there is the chance to choose among two possibilities. First, a visit to the Sempre-Viva Project, a local NGO which aim is to safeguard the endemical flowers and vegetations. Second, another trek to reach the Cristais waterfall.

Overnight in Igatu.

Igatu is known as the City of Stones because of its particular architecture and the use of stone as building materials.

In the morning, you will visit the mining period ruins and the art gallery. At the end of the visit, you will move to Poço Encantado, an amazing blue water pool inside a huge limestone cave with beautiful color effects. Then, you will visit the Poço Azul, another amazing underground pool where it is possible to practice snorkeling.

Home-cooked lunch and return to Lençóis, where you will spend your night.

Transfer to the Lençóis airport or Lençóis Bus Station: the tour is ended.
