The Southern African Family Adventure tour is perfect for families or travellers who want some luxury while not losing the authentic touch that is so typical of this part of the continent. Three weeks filled with the best wildlife and adventure destinations that will take you to the Greater Kruger National Park, Mthimkhulu Nature Reserve and Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in South Africa. We'll then move to Botswana’s Tuli Block and spend the night in a luxury tented camp on an island in the middle of Limpopo River on the border between South Africa and Botswana. We'll take you and your children to see the elephants. We'll make you enjoy Chobe National Park in Botswana, where we'll go game driving and sailing on a boat cruise. In Zimbabwe we'll admire Victoria Falls, natural wonder of the world, and then explore Hwange and Matobo national parks, in search of rhinos. We'll finally see Mapungubwe National Park, declared World Heritage Site. You'll sleep in shared comfortable tents so as to experience the real feel of Southern Africa.
During these two days you'll enjoy game drives on an open game viewing vehicle. You'll have three full meals per day. Time permitting, you'll visit stunning Panorama Route and see Blyder River Canyon View Point and Bourke’s Luck Potholes on day 1.
During these two days you will first visit Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and then, after a night drive and a morning walk, you'll see beautiful Blyde River Dam and Canyon viewpoint. To top this intense stage, you'll have a waterfall hike and a picnic.
During these two days you'll enjoy breathtaking game drives in Toerboer’ special 4x4 Land Cruiser and visit various viewpoints in Kruger National Park. Finally, you'll go honey badger chasing.
Today you'll enjoy a full day game drive in Toerboer’ special 4x4 Land Cruiser and visit various viewpoints in Kruger National Park. We'll also take you to the Elephant Museum to discover the secrets of this majestic animal.
Today you'll stop at an exclusive camp on the Letaba River right in the Big Five area and enjoy some open fire cooking.
You'll enjoy a game drive in a private game reserve in Botswana’s Tuli Block and stop at Island Camp, set on an island in the Limpopo River that forms the natural boundary between South Africa and Botswana.
Today we'll see more elephants in Nata: at Elephant Sands there is a herd that often comes to the waterhole right in front of the complex.
Today you'll enjoy a boat cruise along Chobe river and then go bird and game watching in Chobe National Park.
During these days you can choose to go game driving again or to have a relaxing walk. You'll be taken to see stunning Victoria Falls. You'll also have the opportunity to choose among several optional activities: white water rafting, canoeing, gorge swing, helicopter flip and many more.
Today you'll enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Hwange National Park. Your lodge overlooks a waterhole with a variety of wildlife coming to drink.
You'll go rhino tracking with a world-renowned expert in Matobo, declared World Heritage Site.
Back in South Africa, you'll cover Heritage Walk, declared World Heritage site, and walk to Heritage Hill where the golden-plated rhinoceros was discovered. Here you will enjoy a three countries viewpoint: Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa. After a game drive, you can top the day with an optional walk to see San ancient rock paintings.
Today you'll visit Nelson Mandela statue, Union Buildings, Voortrekker Monument and enjoy a traditional dinner.
You'll be dropped off at O.R. Tambo International Airport to catch tour flight home.
