    City of Matagalpa and Community La Corona
    Day 1

    We will start with a tour designed to experience daily life in this important city. We will visit the most representative historical and cultural sites of Matagalpa, also we will take you to the chocolate factory where you can watch the manufacturing process and taste one of the best chocolates in Nicaragua, made from organic cocoa produced in the area. 

    In the afternoon we will take you to La Corona, a nature-filled community that produce Fair Trade coffee. Here we will visit the coffee plantations and you can be part of the collection process and pulping of this important crop.

    Indigenous Community El Chile
    Day 2

    El Chile is an indigenous community rich in history and culture.  On this tour we will visit the weaving workshop, where we will see the process of making products such as wallets, purses and backpacks using traditional indigenous techniques. Then, continue with a walk through the community and climb to the viewpoint of Cerro El Chile where we have a 360 degree view of the mountains around. Finally we will enjoy a traditional lunch with a local family, to have an inside look at their lifestyle.

    The Tobacco Tour in Estelí
    Day 3

    After breakfast we will depart to Estelí, where in addition to visiting the most important sites of this historic city, we will see the entire process of tobacco, from the plantation to the manufacturing of prestigious export cigars. 

    In the afternoon we will go to Tisey Estanzuela Nature Reserve, where we will have a delightful climate and an environment of pure nature.

    Nature Reserve Tisey - Estanzuela
    Day 4

    This day we will visit La Garnacha, a united community producing different types of cheese and organic non-traditional vegetables, we will visit also the farm El Jalacate, where Don Alberto Gutierrez, a born sculptor, has turned every stone into a work of art. We will enjoy trails through the forest, breathtaking viewpoints and of course the waterfall La Estanzuela, a natural sanctuary for swimming. After lunch you will have a transfer to Matagalpa wher the tour ends.
