    Day 1

Your half day city tour will start with Al Fateh Grand Mosque, Bahrain’s largest mosque and one of the largest Mosque in the entire world. It can accommodate up to 7000 worshippers at a time. The huge dome built on top of the Al-Fateh Mosque is made of pure fiberglass. Weighting over 60 tons, the dome is currently the world’s largest fiberglass dome. Non-Muslims are welcome to visit the mosque, but it is important to dress appropriately.

Continue to Bahrain World Trade Center; at a height of nearly 800 feet, the two iconic towers offer spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf and Manama cityscape. Each tower features state-of-the-art office accommodations, with impressive double-height entrance lobby, high-speed passenger lifts and balconies on every floor. Voted as the best building for 2008 in the Middle East and North Africa it is a marvel of engineering with part of its energy requirement powered by wind.

Then it's on to Bahrain Fort, historically one of Bahrain’s most important archaeological sites. The Fort itself was built in the 14th century by the Portuguese but excavations at the site revealed six other distinct constructions in the same place dating back to the Dilmun era, or around 3000 BC during which time this may have been the island’s capital. It is inscribed as a Unesco World Heritage. Qal’at al-Bahrain is a typical artificial mound created by many successive layers of human occupation.

Later on visit a privately-owned camel farm at Janabiya: camels are a way of life in Bahrain! Finally move to Al Jasra Handicraft Center, comprising a large selection of traditional handicraft and industries.

    Day 2

Enjoy your second day city tour beginning from the Capital Mall, opened in 2007 by Her Highness Shaikha Sabeeka bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Woman Council. The project aims to nurture, develop, and integrate micro-projects started by Bahraini families into the national economy. The mall also provides locations for these families to display and market their products which helps their business and attract tourism.

Then it's on to the Saar settlement, dating back to 3900 BC when the region was known as Dilmun. The discovery of this village proved the existence of a very organized life style with well-ordered roads, houses with courtyards and a central marketplace. For anyone even faintly interested in ancient civilizations, this site will be hugely fascinating experience.

Later on you'll see Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), the region’s premier Formula One and drag racing venue, with an exhilarating off road ride on the circuit’s course called 4x4 Adventure ride. Continue to the first oil well, which as the name suggests, is the first oil well in the Arabian Gulf and is located in the desert of Bahrain. The well is situated below Jebel Al Dukhan. It was operated by Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO). Black gold first spurted from the well on 16 October 1931, and the well finally began to produce oil on the morning of 2 June 1932.

Finally, proceed to the Tree of Life, one of the mysteries of the world which is bound to be in your sightseeing list while you are in this Middle Eastern country. The Tree of Life in Bahrain is a four century old mystique tree which survives in the desert. The mystery of the survival of the tree has made it a legend.
