Shaddy Nkoma

Shaddy Nkoma is bush camp operations manager and senior guide. He was first trained at Chinzombo Camp as a guide. In 1993 he obtained his guiding license and guided at Chinzombo and its bush camps until 1997 when he joined Wilderness Trails, while there he did a lot of mobile safaris. He has been with Norman Carr Safaris since 1998. He managed Nsolo Bush Camp for over 15 years, and over the years this became his second home. In 2012 he took up the position of bush camp operations manager and he now oversees the building and running of these camps each year. Apart from guiding he also renders his services to the South Luangwa Guides Examination Board and is a trustee of the Kapani School Project. During his career he has helped many guides with their training but the highlight for him was when he helped to train Rose Jere, who was the first female Zambian guide.
