The amazing north of Cuba

Briefing. Tour in the city of Havana with a visit to the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit of the renoved squares: Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, Plaza Vieja.

Lunch in the city center.

In the afternoon sightseeing tour of the Capitol, Central Park, the Fraternity Park, the Revolution Square and the Museum of Rum Havana Club.

Return and dinner at the hotel.

Departure to Las Terrazas, first ecologic village in Cuba. It is located in the Sierra del Rosario, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, an area rich in flora and fauna, rivers, lakes and waterfalls, ideal for hiking, relaxing or practicing birdwatching. Visit to the community of Las Terrazas, an example of sustainable development and environmental education, to the Moka hotel, ideal for nature lovers and ecotourism, to the "Cafetal Buenavista", old farm built by French colonists in the 18^th century for the cultivation of coffee.

Lunch in a typical restaurant.

In the afternoon meeting with the local community and visit to its socio-cultural installations. Here it is possible to taste the delicious Cuban coffee in the House of Mary (is not included). Visit the lively local arts community, its studios and workshops of silk screen, where it is possible to buy various items produced by the community. If we have enough time, we could have a bath in Rio San Juan.

Return to Havana.

Departure for the Montemar Great Natural Park, where there is the largest swamp in the Caribbean. Visit the Aldea Taína, an accurate reconstruction of an aboriginal village "Taino", the first inhabitants of the area and the breeding of crocodiles.

Departure to Cienfuegos, where we will visit the main sights of the city: Marti Park, the Terry Theater, the Boulevard and the Promenade.

Transfer to Trinidad. Arrival, accommodation and dinner at the hotel.

Walking through the city of Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a special town, full of charm, which has preserved its houses, its streets and squares as they were centuries ago. We will visit Plaza Mayor, the Romantic Museum and the Church of the Holy Trinidad; stop and taste the special cocktail at the Bar "La Canchanchara". Then, visit to a pottery workshop.

Lunch at local restaurant. During the afternoon, free time in the city.

Return to hotel and dinner. After dinner we suggest you to visit the House of the Trova or Casa de la Musica, one of the most famous on the island.

After breakfast, transfer to the city of Santa Clara. Once in the city, visit to the Revolution Square and the Mausoleum of Che Guevara, solemn place where are guarded the mortal remains of the commander and his comrades died in Bolivia.

The tour will continue to Havana. During the route we will stop in Varadero for those who will continue the vacation here. For the others, arrive in Havana and transfer to the hotel.
