Holiday in Mexico from Mexico City to Cancun

Arrive at Mexico City International Airport. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Tour of the city and of Teotihuacan archaeological site. Later visit Zocalo (the main square with the Cathedral and National Palace), Templo Mayor, Basilica of Our Lady of Guadeloupe, patroness of Mexico and main pilgrimage site of Latin America. At the end visit Teotihuacan with the imposing pyramids of the Sun and Moon. Lunch in a local restaurant. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Transfer to the airport and flight to Tuxtla Gutierrez, the capital of the State of Chiapas. Stop over at Chiapa de Corzo for a boat tour of Canyon del Sumidero. Lunch in a local restaurant and transfer to San Cristóbal de las Casas climbing a mountain road over 2000 m high. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. 

Visit the indigenous communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan, situated a few kilometers from San Cristobal. A visit of the city and local market is also scheduled: here you will admire the handicraft work of local natives, as well as famous churches, such as the Baroque Santo Domingo church. Lunch in a local restaurant and dinner at the hotel.

Today you'll descend the mountains of Chiapas, crossing green valleys. Stop over at Agua Azul waterfalls for a picnic lunch. Arrive in Palenque, dinnner and check in to the hotel.

In the morning visit the archaeological site of Palenque, still partly hidden by the tropical jungle, full of charm and unique pyramids. After the visit of the wonders located in this World Heritage Site, departure to Campeche. Upon arrival panoramic tour of the town, still enclosed and fortified with towers and walls, still preserving a strong colonial flavor. Check in to the hotel and dinner at the hotel.

The first stop is scheduled at Uxmal archaeological site, one of the most important ruins of the Mayan civilization. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon arrive in Merida, the capital city of the state of Yucatán, the "white city", so called due to its colonial buildings. A stop over at the Zocalo is also scheduled to visit the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the City Hall and Montejo's House. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Departure towards the sea stopping halfway to visit Chichen Itza, maybe the most popular Mayan archaeological site, with famous Kukulkan Pyramid. Lunch in a local restaurant. Arrive in Cancun or Playa del Carmen in the late afternoon and check in to the chosen hotel (not included).
