Travessia Ecotourism is the first local tour operator established on the Chapada dos Veadeiros in Brazil.

Created by local guides in 1997, Travessia works developing activities of ecotourism and adventure using in a sustainable way the cultural and natural heritage, stimulating an environment consciousness by an environment interpretation, providing a better life for the local communities.

Travessia has close links to its local communities and works with the experienced local guides, all of whom are qualified under a training program developed in partnership with the National Institute of Biodiversity. Travessia also arranges specialist training for its guides and the team includes experts in abseiling and canyoning activities.
