Half day visiting Saigon, also by cyclo, passing through the hectic streets surrounding Binh Tay Market up to the deep calm of the precious Thien Hau Temple. The tour continues enjoying shopping in the commercial areas nearby.

During your tailormade vacation, you'll have the chance to discover the famous underground city of Cu Chi, capable to resist against the attacks and bombings of American troops. Along the route to Saigon, you'll stop in rice fields and in the gum tree plantations. Then the trip continues discovering the colonial aspects of Saigon, where you can explore the museums containing the memories of the war.

Your journey and holiday also includes the visit of Cai Be located on Mekong Delta. Small local boats will navigate along the river branches, where other small boats sell fruits, vegetables and handicrafts products.

    Day 1

    Transfer to the hotel.

    Half day is devoted to the visit of the city, also by cycle. You'll discover the district of Cholon, the Chinese part of Saigon, where hundreds, rare, commercial activities encumber the streets surrounding the large Binh Tay Market.

    On the contrary, once entered in Thien Hau, it is possible to discover a deep calm and a religious silence. It is the most precious and celebrated Temple of Cantonese Community and is devoted to Mazu (Celestial Consort), who protects merchants and sailors. She is still venerated in a mystical place perfumed by incense.

    The tour continues enjoying shopping opportunities in the commercial areas nearby, in particular from Dong Khoi, the "Rue Catinat" of the old French colonists, up to the square of the large Ben Thanh Market.

    Saigon - Cu Chi - Saigon
    Day 2

    Half day visiting Cu Chi, the famous underground city. Vietcong people created an incredible net composed by storage rooms, dormitories, armories, kitchens, infirmaries and underground command places. Each site had a connection to the other sites thanks to 250 km of galleries and tunnels, which resisted against bombings and attacks of the American troops. In the forest there are some structures accessible to public and suggestive dummies representing armed Vietcong which control the place from some strategic points.

    During the travel to Saigon, it is necessary to take a break in a familiar farm producting tortillas made with rice flour surrounded by lush rice fields and in the precious gum tree plantations, which were planted in the early years of the last century by the French.

    The afternoon is devoted to a half day visit of the colonial aspects of Saigon. The tour starts with the visit to the War Remnants Museum. After discovering the square where the Independence Place designed by Gustave Eiffel and the Cathedral of Notre Dame are located, we'll visit an elegant atelier displaying polished lacquer objects. The journey ends with the visit of the large Ben Thanh Market, symbol of the city, where everyone can enjoy crazy shopping.

    Saigon - Delta del Mekong - Saigon
    Day 3

    The whole day is devoted to the visit of Cai Be on Mekong Delta. Little boats are waiting for us on Mekong to sail along the small and busy river branches and reach the floating market, where fruits, vegetables and handicraft products are sold on small junks.

    Then, we'll visit a nice familiar farm where candies, palm sugar candies and rice crackers are produced according to traditional techniques.

    Lunch in a cozy country house immersed in a lush fruit plantation, back to Saigon and arrival in the late afternoon.

    Dinner in a typical restaurant and overnight in the hotel.
