Welcome to Malawi!
After the meeting with your Malawian Style guide at Lilongwe International Airport, transfer to Burley House in Lilongwe. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden and provides everything you need for a perfect vacation in an informal atmosphere.
The rest of the day is free at leisure, it is possible to enjoy an optional city tour, to discover it according to your personal style.
Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, your Malawian Style guide and you will move towards Mchinji border, arriving in Zambia. We will reach Marula Lodge, located in the South Luangwa National Park.
The park has been established in 1972 and it is worldwide renowned as a truly amazing wildlife haven. In addition, Marula Lodge is situated just in front of the main entrance and provides comfortable and perfect chalets. Each of them will make you feel at home.
After breakfast it is time to leave South Luangwa.
Your Malawian Style guide will drive you to Dedza via Mchinji border and Lilongwe. This is the highest town in Malawi and Dedza Mountain, reaching up to over 2,000m. From the lodge, to the west it is possible to enjoy a breath-taking view of Mzengeleza Mountain.
You will spend your night at Dedza Pottery Lodge. This attractive facility is located in beautiful gardens within the grounds of the famous Dedza Pottery, known both for its handmade pottery and for its coffee and cheesecake. Dedza Pottery is one of the main touristic attractions, it opened in 1987 and now has the largest hand crafted production of pottery in Southern Africa; there is a very wide range of designs and customers can also place orders to be made in almost any shape or design.
Among the optional activities, there is the chance to go shopping for curios.
After breakfast, transfer to Lujeri Lodge: the next step on your tour itinerary.
This lodge is a converted old style colonial house and is a fantastic spot, with really nice friendly staff. After spending some hours on the road it is possible to take a break and enjoy a short walk to the Blue Lagoon pools.
Today, it is possible to enjoy some optional activities, such as tea tasting or hiking.
After breakfast, your driver will take you straight the old Capital City of Malawi, Zomba.
You will spend your night at Zomba cottage, a simple cosy cottage and a great escape. Easily the best location on the mountain, just 5 minutes walk from Zomba Dam and horse stables.
Among the optional activities, it is possible to enjoy a city tour of Zomba or go hiking.
Breakfast at hotel.
Then, your driver will transfer you to Liwonde. You will spend the night at Mvuu lodge situated right in Liwonde National Park.
Mvuu Camp overlooks a broad track of the Shire River, home of several hippos, crocodiles and the amazing birdlife of the Liwonde National Park. An impressive thatched dining and lounge area is situated nearby, providing a wonderful view of the Shire River. Dinners are sometimes held under the stars in a specially constructed boma.
It is possible to take part in different activities at Mvuu Camp, as boating trips, game drives (morning and afternoon/evening), nature walks and bike rides, but also rhino tracking.
After breakfast, transfer to Cape Maclear where you will be accommodated at Lujeri cottage.
Lujeri Lake Cottage is located in Cape Maclear, on the shores of Lake Malawi. The facility provides fully equipped self-catering accommodation, which includes fridge/freezer, a gas stove and a barbeque area.
All the good things must come to an end and after today breakfast your Malawian Style guide will drive you straight to Lilongwe International Airport.
