The train departs from Safdarjung Railway Station, New Delhi, where it also concludes its journey. The train moves by night and arrives each morning in a new destination, where a new experience awaits you! It is also possible to enjoy only part of the tour, departing from New Delhi and arriving in Jodhpur on day 5.

The highlights of your trip through Rajasthan are:

  • Visit of Jaipur, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, in the North of India. It hosts several palaces and forts, which are evidence of its rich cultural past;
  • Tour of Sawai Madhopur and Chittorgarh, the first one boasts the famous Ranthambore National Park, declared Unesco Wolrd Heritage Site, while the second is popular for the use of Khas, an aromatic plant;
  • Udaipur, where it is possible to admire the several and suggestive lakes of the city, such as Lake Pichola;
  • Jaisalmer, a desert city, often called Golden City due to its yellow sandstone and sand;
  • Jodhpur, characterized by picturesque blue houses;
  • Tour and visit of Bharatpur and Agra, where it is possible to find and discover the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Unesco World Heritage Site, and the world-famous and impressive Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world.

    Delhi - Jaipur
    Day 1

    At 4.30 pm pre boarding formalities at Safdarganj Railway Station, New Delhi. After receiving the warm and traditional welcome with ‘aarti, tika and garland’, you'll get on board and will be escorted to your cabin by Khidmatgars, it is followed by a short familiarization tour of train and welcome drink.

    Around 6.30 pm the train departs to Jaipur, dinner served on board.

    Jaipur - Sawai Madhopur
    Day 2

    At 7 am breakfast is served on board, before arriving in Jaipur at 8.15 am. Today you can enjoy a tour of the city, visiting the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), City Palace, Jantar and the Amber Fort. Lunch around 1.30 pm after visits. Free time during the afternoon to shop handicrafts at fort.

    At 6 pm return to Palace on Wheels by luxury coach. Dinner is served on board.

    Sawai Madhopur - Udaipur
    Day 3

    Around 5.45 am the train arrives at Sawai Madhopur and you have the chance to visit the Ranthambore National Park. At the end of the tour, you'll return to Palace on Wheels by safari canter and enjoy the breakfast served on board.

    The tour continues to Chittorgarh. Lunch on board and arrival in the city around 4.30 pm. The afternoon is devoted to sightseeing across Chittorgarh Fort, where you can also admire the light and sounds show.

    Around 7 pm return on Palace on Wheels by luxury coach and dinner on board.

    Udaipur - Jaisalmer
    Day 4

    Arrival at Udaipur and breakfast at 7 am. The morning is spent visiting the Garden of Fountains and Durbar Museum. At 1.30 pm lunch at a palace hotel followed by visit to Crystal Gallery. Then, you'll cross the tranquil Lake Pichola by boat passing the Lake Palace Hotel. Today's last visit is devoted to the City Palace. At 3 pm return to Palace on Wheels by luxury coach. The dinner is served on board.

    Jaisalmer - Johpur
    Day 5

    Arrival in Jaisalmer and breakfast on board. Visit Havelis, traditional townhouses and mansions of India, and then return to Palace on Wheels by luxury coach where you can enjoy your lunch on board at 1 pm. In the afternoon, a camel ride on sand dunes and a warm tea await you. At 5.30 pm return to Palace on Wheels by luxury coach to wash up and change. Dinner and cultural programme at a palace hotel. At the end of the night, return to Palace on Wheels by luxury coach and overnight.

    Jodhpur - Bharatpur
    Day 6

    Breakfast on board and arrival at Jodhpur station at 9 am. Upon arrival, visit the Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. At 1.15 pm lunch at a star hotel and free time. Return to Palace on Wheels by luxury coach at 3.30 pm. Dinner and overnight on board.

    Bharatpur - Agra - Delhi
    Day 7

    At 6 am arrival at Bharatpur and visit the famous Keoladeo Ghana National Park. At the end of the tour, return to Palace on Wheels by luxury coach and breakfast. The train departs to Agra. Arrival is scheduled at 11 am. Upon arrival, visit the well known Red Fort and lunch at a palace hotel. At 3 pm enjoy the visit to the world-famous Taj Mahal.

    At 8 pm return to Palace on Wheels by luxury coach. Dinner is served on board.
