Castaway Island Resort was completely renovated in June 2013. Its 66 bungalows, divided among 27 Island bure, 12 Ocean View Ocean with view on the ocean, and 27 bure located directly on the beach, are now even more beautiful and comfortable. All the bungalows are built in typical Fijian style and consist of bedroom with king size bed, private bathroom with vanity area and shower area and separate toilet, living room and veranda. The bungalows are equipped with many comforts (except telephone and TV) including air-conditioning, ceiling fan and hairdryer. Most of the bungalows also feature two additional single beds separated from the area with the double bed by a sliding door. Available to customers are a restaurant with an indoor dining room and a large terrace overlooking the sea, a bar-pizzeria, a bar where you can enjoy fantastic tropical cocktails, a boutique. To ensure greater privacy a totally separate children's area has been kept separated from that for adults with two different pools suited to the needs of adults and children. In addition to quiet seaside relaxation you can practice different sports. There are numerous free activities that you can do, including: windsurfing, canoeing, snorkeling, catamaran sailing, glass bottom boats, tennis and beach volleyball, in addition to an exclusive cocktail party once a week. Activities available at an extra charge include: big banana boat, champagne cruise, deep sea fishing, night fishing, parasailing and jetskiing, scuba diving with PADI instructors, excursions for snorkeling, water skiing and island safaris. The reef is just a short distance from the beach and offers a wonderful spectacle both on the inside and on the outside.
