L'hotel

Il Six Senses Laamu è l'unico resort sull'isola di Olhuveli situato nel sud dell’atollo di Laamu; un atollo di rara bellezza ed incontaminato… un’isola vergine dall’atmosfera paradisiaca di ampie dimensioni e con una vegetazione rigogliosa, spiagge di sabbia bianca e acque limpide e cristalline.

Il resort abbraccia la filosofia “eco friendly”  ed è costruito con materiali sostenibili e con una particolare cura dei dettagli, il tutto rende gli ambienti ricercati e lussuosi.

Dispone di 97 eleganti sistemazioni in legno e materiali naturali tutte con il tipico bagno maldiviano all’esterno. Le tipologie sono: Lagoon Water Villa, Ocean Water Villa, Laamu Water Villa, Lagoon Beach Villa, Ocean Beach Villa ed infine Lagoon Beach Villa 2 bedrooms with pool.

La struttura propone di varie soluzioni per la ristorazione: il Leaf sorge direttamente sopra al giardino organico, e serve specialità mediterranee preparate con ingredienti freschi appena raccolti ed esaltati dalle spezie coltivate nel giardino; il Longitude offre piatti internazionali con pasta, pesce fresco ed insalate; l’Es’sense serve piatti di cucina asiatica ed europea ed è una capanna con postazione di cucina dal vivo con forno per la pizza e una splendida vista sulla laguna. Per i palati più curiosi l’Altitude Cellar & Deli, offre degustazione di varie etichette di vini, formaggi e salumi il tutto in un contesto molto particolare, una torre di vetro alta più di 6 metri che sorge dall’acqua; lo Zen, serve piatti giapponesi ed una selezione curata di sake e tè con vedute sulla laguna; il Deck a-Dence dispone invece di sei tavoli di vetro affacciati direttamente sulla laguna dove poter assaggiare menù “ zero carbon”, piatti a base di pesce locale alla griglia; il Chill un panoramico lounge bar sull’acqua; mentre per i golosi l’Ice & Chocolate Studio, offre dolci momenti dove poter gustare gelati artigianali, sorbetti, crepes e delizie al cioccolato.

A disposizione dei clienti, beach volley e palestra, mentre a pagamento: centro diving, canoa, catamarano, kitesurf, windsurf, pesca d’altura, wakeboard. L’attrezzatura per lo snorkeling viene fornita gratuitamente.
Sono possibili inoltre, a pagamento, varie escursioni: alla scoperta di isole locali, fantastici pic-nic su un’isola deserta, crociere al tramonto per avvistare i delfini, e snorkeling con il biologo marino.

Per i momenti di puro relax, la SPA, che sorge direttamente sulla spiaggia è strutturata in padiglioni doppi e tipici nidi di bamboo, inseriti nella ricca vegetazione. Si potrà così di tutti i piacevoli rumori della natura, l’infrangersi delle onde e il canto degli uccelli. Per i trattamenti, vengono usati solo prodotti naturali ed olii essenziali mirati al ringiovanimento della pelle.
