Saslaya is the largest National Park in Nicaragua and the heart of the Bosawas Biosphere Reserve, which represents 15% of the country. We begin this journey by taking a flight from Managua International Airport to Siuna, where a vehicle leads us to the starting point of our adventure in the jungle. The goal is to conquer the highest peak of National Park Cerro Saslaya, for that, we will walk some days through the jungle, admiring the exotic flora and fauna and climbing the steep paths, between roots of trees and stone walls to finally write our names in a book, next to the names of the daring adventurers who have managed to test their physical and survival ability. During the days in the jungle, we cook on camp stoves, trying to vary the foods as far as possible. Please note that in the forest there are no toilets and furthermore, due to the characteristics of the habitat, we use hammocks for camping. It is important to inform about relevant health conditions such as allergies to certain foods or insects, heart and respiratory diseases since this trip requires good physical conditions. If you like strong emotions and want to enjoy adventure in the jungle, this tour is designed for you.
